God instructed the church to take care of the poor, the widows, the orphans. Open Door Church does it ALL. Wish I would have become involved sooner.

Great people, feel blessed but the recent visit i made waiting in a massive line (understandable) 2 hours drove hour out, was excited to be there, i came home and had to literally throw away all the food due to the expiration date. Smelled , molded after 1 day. Maybe check the dates before handing them out to hundreds of people.

You don't have to jump through hoops (or give up your 1st born) to get help. No paperwork to fill out. No questions about how much money you make or how you spend it. They are wonderful people. They offer prayers but do not force it. They truly are the hands and feet of Jesus!

Thank you to all the wonderful people who run this food bank. My son who’s a minor needed to complete community service. Nothing was available in Burleson with his offenses. Opendoor let him finish his 33+ hours with them. He came home beaming with confidence. Everyone was kind and patient and nonjudgmental. Instead of mom and dad bailing him out and paying his ticket, he got the dignity to work it off himself and finish what he started.

The people were nice and hospitable, there is a play area for kids while you're waiting in line, they pray for you and send you off loaded down with groceries. A beautiful experience
