I am homeless. Sleeping on the streets with no income. They turned me away without offering any help. Yet all I see on their website is them asking to be donated to. These people lie to the community seeking donations saying they will improve the homeless population. Mainstream America stop being lied to by our leaders and demand accountability and transparency in Hope Havens actions and behaviors

Courtney got my girls and I off the street very quickly. A very "homey" feel. My girls were excited that I was able to cook for them again in their amazing kitchen. We ended up only needing to stay a few weeks., but I'm so very grateful!! Ms. Bobby, Mr. Manny, Jeff and Cindy are absolutely amazing!!! They gave me my independence back. Helped make our new apartment a home. Thank you Hope Haven, you are a God sent.

I live at Hope Haven. And I love this place and the people that work here more then words could ever explain. They have done so much for me and my wife. We were homeless and starving and they took a stand and has been helping us for little over 2 months. I'm excited to wake up everyday again. All of the staff is so nice and very helpful and i go above and beyond to try to get their attention to show them how much I appreciate them by cleaning and being super friendly to everyone. Hope Haven change my life and I'm so very grateful for this faculty!!! Thank ya'll for everything and most of all for wanting to do better with my life! ☺

My name is Sabrina Follbaum and in June of 1997 my ex husband and I along with our 5 year old daughter, 15 month old son found ourselves homeless. I was also 6 months pregnant and scared to death. We learned of Hope Haven from a friend. When we contacted them we were told they normally do not allow pregnant women but we could come in for an intake interview. Once we arrived the staff was very friendly and professional with us and fell in love with our children. Once they did our intake interview we needed to wait for background checks and other things to come back, but again was told they don't usually take in pregnant women. Exactly 5 days later we received a call that everything came back and we were approved to move in. Once we entered those doors at the shelter on Oak street we were treated
with dignity and respect. The staff showed compassion to my family. The stress we had indured before had was going away. The staff even threw us a baby shower including having there community donors get involved. When it became time to give birth they transported my husband and myself to the hospital. On October 27, 1997 I gave birth to a 6lb 14 oz beautiful baby girl. The staff fell in love with her instantly. When it was time for us to move into our own home and leaving the program there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Hope Haven saved our lives. Ariel 31, Harry 27 and the first child born in Hope Havens history Kortni 25 have become functional adults in society because of the tools we learned. We will forever be greatful for everything Abilene Hope Haven did for us.

Mr Covington is very nice and makes the whole process comfortable.Although I believe the rules should be changed as they were not helpful with offering be a safe haven. So that's the reason Hope Haven only got a 3 star rating, to which was given directly to Mr Covington who really deserves 5 🌟,,s As get us the only Good thing about Hope Haven.

They used to be good people about 2 years ago… now they don’t answer calls back, you never see anyone, they are very rude… too bad all the old staff left. They were really doing good for all the homeless. Now they don’t care about the homeless, just about saving a buck. Sad really…Didn’t even want to leave one star!
