Hey I’m a very well black respectful person just moved here from out of state with my six children we’ve been here a year to be exact 2 are disabled so been having a extremely hard time trying to adopt being a single mother on low income been seeking services from food pantry since I’ve been here in the Frisco area for some reason they tend to give me a hard time every time I come to visit me and my children even just the process itself just to get the food from the pantry you have to provide 30 days bank statement proof of income How you spent your money monthly like I said we’re I come from you only have to provide proof of residence and I’d long story short my mom just moved here to help me out but her place want be ready until September 1st so she stays with me temporarily Mom having to be in the car just the last time I visited for a review to see we’re my family still eligible for food pantry mom wanted to know can she get her own food I said not sure but she can ask once we got to Food pantry so she ask what are the requirements for a one time visit and Receptionist said proof of Address and I’d so she was eligible for a one time visit for food so me and my mom headed over to pantry to shop and this one man seems to follow me thru out the Market everytime I visit so mom is in the middle of shopping he comes over and latches on to the cart and say you can not shop due to you stays in the same household as your daughter my mother is disabled and has a bad knee we’re she stubble down due to how he aggressively took the cart so I stated what was the issue and he said you’re mom can’t get food due to she were in same household so I ask can I get the cart to see if she wants to put some of her things in my cart and I did so while we continue ti shop he comes out with a wheelchair for my mom cause I’m guessing he noticed how my mom were struggling to walk so we leave and I get an email stating me and my family are banned from frisco family service and there’s no way I can get assistance from there agency So I went into the office to see how can I make things right so I can get food for my family and they said I can’t get they services anymore due to duplicate applications on file

Fantastic place and great customer service and very helpful people. There was one special lady that took her in helping me around the store and getting stuff . This is a very big blessing to me and my son to have this support .

Just great place and friendly staff. Great food to choose from hygiene products and good diapers. God put places like this on earth for us. Thank you Frisco family service for helping my family and others

Being denied help based on my name not being on the tax records as the mortgage owner. Brought in all of the requested documents such as lease, bank statements, etc. Had a ridiculous claim made that the property had to be shown in my name for them to be able to provide help. Called the tax office to verify if that is ever the case, and they verified that people who are leasing/renting never show up on the tax documents, just the owners. At this point I just feel like excuses are being made up to deny us help, and it seems extremely unprofessional and discriminatory against us. I just came back from overseas, both I and my wife are looking for work, we have no income and just bills, why would we not qualify? Ridiculous level of scrutiny being put upon us, we showed them every scrap of paperwork requested showing our situation and this is disappointing.
