Being here and joining this crew has been an amazing experience. I started with beginner classes with my sister and friend. Now I’m 2 years deep in the dance on skates class! It’s only one day a week for commitment and I’ve found a new fun hobby, friends, and talent!

I absolutely LOVE SSRD!!! I have been skating with this team for about 5-6 years. Everyone here is so welcoming and sweet. But this team has a special touch to it. You don’t just learn how to roller skate, you learn life lessons here. You meet so many new people and everyone here is so validating!! Everyone on the team is so loving, funny, relatable and they keep it real. Roller derby has CHANGED MY LIFE. For me, roller derby/roller skating is my outlet, it calms me in every way and makes me feel good about myself. I totally recommend SSRD 😀

We’ve been with South Side Roller Derby a year now and absolutely love it. The amount of confidence and skill my daughter has developed over the year is so amazing to see. The instructors are great, pricing is very reasonable and overall it’s been a wonderful experience. We started with the learn to skate classes and my daughter progressed to derby when she was ready. She has fallen in love with skating and I really think it will always be a part of her life. I’m so glad we found SSRD!

I am so glad I found South Side Roller Derby! I have always wanted to skate and they do an amazing job teaching you the skills you need. It seems so intimidating at first, especially when you see all the amazing skaters around you, but everyone is so sweet and helpful. And the friends you make along the way is so worth it! If you are thinking about trying, I highly recommend it! Even if you don't want to do Roller Derby, they have other great options to strive for like Dancing on Skates and Outdoor skating.
