If I could give this course zero stars I would. This course is complete trash. 80 bucks until 430 pm on the weekends. I wouldn't pay 40 bucks for this course in its current condition. It used to be a premium course in the Houston area but those days are LONG GONE. The fairways are absolutely atrocious. Good luck trying to take a divot. It's like hitting off concrete. The greens are about a 3 out of 10 and the tee boxes are even worse. It's like they've just given up and just going to keep charging 80 bucks because suckers like me keep paying it. Not anymore. Save your money and time and go to wildcat. Same price but ten times the course.

I visited Timber Creek this weekend, and played all 3 of the 9 hole tracks they have with 3 friends. All played well and were in amazing condition for this early in the spring. The staff was incredibly helpful, as we were visiting from out of town (from MN). Axel at the shop helped me book the tee times so we could time all the course options, he and the co worker working up front when we arrived went above and beyond and made it a easy place to play. The ranger was also very friendly, cant remember the name, but he was from "Michigan" originally.

Overall, I would say if you're in the south Houston area and enjoy golf, this is a place you should definitely fit in. Thanks for everything staff!

I really like the course. I think it’ll be a great year for the course.

But the driving range needs an upgrade or update. I bought a bucket of balls today and most of them had zero to no dimples on them. They were so old. I like to practice, but I can’t see myself spending the money if I’m not getting some sort of feedback with very old range balls.

Timber Creek Golf Club is easily accessible to golfers in and around the Houston/Galveston area. With 3X 9 hole courses, it's easy to enjoy a round with varied yet enjoyable challenges. Fairly priced for a course that is unlike many in the area.....not within a subdivision so no worries about homes along the fairway.

Love the course layout, but the driving range is overpriced for what you get and some of the tee boxes are in bad shape. The practice balls are in terrible shape and they need to add fairway bunkers to practice those shots. Maybe they need to contract the range out to someone who can take care of it. I’ll add more stars if they will seriously look at this.

Are you looking for a course in Friendswood with poor conditions like Southwyck or Beacon Lakes, but enjoy paying twice the price? Welcome to Timber Creek! My pre-shot routine on each tee box started with searching for any grass or level ground to hit off of before finally deciding to tee up 10 yards behind the tee markers. Most fairways were dead. Not dormant….dead. Dry and rock hard. We invoked a rule in our foursome for free drops if you hit in the bunker as not to destroy your clubs from the “sand” which is actually a mix of crushed rocks. Greens are 50/50. Some have grass and some are pretty rough and patchy. The property and layout are beautiful. It could be so much more if it were just cared for properly. Unfortunately after years of disappointment and poor conditions, I will not be returning.

I would love to give this place 5 stars. It’s actually an incredible property with 3 very nice 9 hole courses. The problem is that its managed very poorly. There is no excuse for the condition of such a beautiful course to be as bad as I have seen it. Greens that are so bad you cant even call them greens. It’s a real shame. The people who work there are great, but the groundskeeper needs to really step it up or find a new profession. I hope they sell the course to be honest.

Been playing this course for more than 20 years I've never seen it in such horrible shape the fairways are brown,the greens are in terrible condition and to top it off they charge you $80 on a Sunday for a Hillcrest with a higher property tax bill. hard pass. This is at most a $40 course in its current condition.

Go up
