Common Threads is one of the great places supporting our community. They accept gently used to new clothes and school uniforms, shoes, backpacks and baby clothes. If you want to donate to someplace that really supports the youth in the schools in LAMAR CISD please consider COMMON THREADS.

The volunteers are so thoughtful and helpful and kind. We went in, embarrassed at our situation and the kind woman whose name I didn't get, made me feel welcome and turned the experience into something easy and good. You definitely won't be judged here, you'll be treated sweetly and given what your child needs to be able to go to school in proper attire. They provided school approved shirts, pants, shorts, skirts and a jacket, brand new underwear and socks, very VERY gently used shoes, some books and even a toy. I was actually excited to get home and show my daughter her new clothes, they were in such good shape she didn't even mind that they were used.

Ms. Alita was extremely friendly and helpful with everything we needed. This is a great place to have within the community. The process was very quick got in and out with the essentials needed to have a successful school year. If your considering them or even questioning their ability STOP and trust that they will take care of you.
