I love the food and it's really authentic. Not sure why sometimes they are slow in business even though they are close to the freeway. I hope this review attracts some more people. It's really a good place.

Tempe Community Action Agency

While I commend Tempe Community Action Agency for their commendable efforts in providing for those in need, I have observed several challenges that have emerged in our neighborhood since the food bank opened.

Foremost among these concerns is the proximity of a school to the food bank. Unfortunately, this has led to homeless individuals sleeping and using drugs near the school, creating a dangerous environment for the children and disrupting their education.

Additionally, the increased number of homeless individuals in the area has led to a rise in street litter and drug-related activities. Although supporting the less fortunate is crucial, these issues are compromising the cleanliness and safety of our community.

I believe these problems can be alleviated through better management and collaboration. The food bank could implement solutions such as installing more trash bins, organizing community clean-up initiatives, and working closely with local authorities to maintain a safe environment.

Despite these concerns, I recognize the vital role that Tempe Community Action Agency plays. By addressing these issues, we can ensure a better living environment for both the food bank's beneficiaries and the neighborhood residents.

Thank you for considering this feedback.

Sincerely,
Yalmer Martinez Rodriguez

They have great feminine bags and programs, they can help you get a job by helping you prepare a resume and then show you what websites to go to apply for jobs.I'm grateful for all the help they gave me when I was unemployed and struggled financially.I landed a good job because of them and can now pay my bills on time. The only bad thing i can say this place has to offer is the food pantry,it kind of sucks but hard times calls for desperate measures lol,

All these 5-star reviews are FAKE. Like every other program that gets grant money from the government TCAA is HORRIBLE organization run and staffed by people who both don't care and are simply getting a paycheck. I'd love to refer you to someplace that actually does care but I have yet to find one in the valley.

I am definitely happy and appreciative of the help and assistance this agency has provided to me. The reason why I have given them three stars is for a few things. Some of the staff need proper business professionalism when dealing with their clients. I have experienced times where I was told to bring in all certain documents. Then next thing you know they're asking for something else later on down the line. Another thing, a lot of time was wasted to where I was approved for assistance but the check didn't get sent in a prompt amount of time as promised. So that made more late fees accrue and landlord threatening to further the eviction process. I was also supposed to get additional assistance for this month of Feb(2024) but this was not provided to me within the timeframe for other funds to be available. I am a single parent that is voicing and advocating that they do a better service for the community than some of the things that I have experienced. I thank God and I am appreciative of some of the staff who have assisted me in making corrections with certain matters for me and my family.

Bob who is over the I-Help Shelter program is an pathological liar. You talking about an a very sick man. He literally lied on an letter that he wrote for me for my section 8. Marian is about half way of an honest person, except when I needed money to pay my rent in August of 2023, they refused to assist me and I got the boot. Therefore they help who they want to assist. Maricopa County is worse. I really hate both these organization.
