The Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce is a great organization that is an advocate for the business community and provides quality program for its members and the community at large. I have been a member for a number of years and I highly recommend joining the chamber if you do business in Fort Bend County, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Stafford, Rosenberg, Richmond and Katy. A few years back we met with the president Keri Schmidt to discuss membership and potentially bringing a holiday attraction to the area. I would never forget the way I was treated during the meeting and the fact that she rolled her eyes when I showed her video of our attraction. It may seem like a trivial gesture, but it was a reflection of her character and how out of touch the leadership is. Not surprised to see the lack of diversity of this chamber’s members in an ironically deeply diverse county. We are members of the Woodlands, Texas City and the Galveston chambers of commerce and have never been treated with such manners. I’ve waited a few years to see if there is any change in management and was surprised to find that nothing has changed.
