In my experience, buying a house with First Texas has been the worst decision. They are very unprofessional. It is terrible. Since I bought my house a year ago, I have asked them to come solve the problem with my cabinets and they only tell me that they are looking for someone to do it. They just make excuses and then don't even answer. Dealing with them is terrible. I definitely don't recommend buying a house with them.

The home I was having built was so wrong on so many levels I don't have the time to elaborate deeply however I will say do your research on all platforms. They don't deserve a star however at least one is recommended to post. My bricks were uneven, formation cracked, etc. When the matter was addressed they attempted to talk unprofessional as if I was a child making excuses for the flaws. I wasted my time and money with these people never again. DO YOUR RESEARCH PLEASE. Oh, and I discovered they have a lot of complaints regarding the way they build their homes.

Update: In response to the first Texas reply it is impossible to correct uneven bricks further the house is still on the market and has been for 2 almost 3 years could that be due to the flaws? You can't expect someone to endure being talked to unprofessionally and still sign on the dotted line for a house that going to cause so many problems in the future. You all need to do better by respecting your customers' opinions, tightening up on your staff drinking on the job, and addressing issues head-on.

Our experience has been terrible so far. I’m not sure what the issue is but Janice Salvey has been unpleasant to work with. They are very behind. The paperwork keep getting lost which means we have to start over. Very unresponsive and rude. Just bad business. I do not recommend.

Overall we had a great experience! We love our new home and the community is really quiet once the construction crews finish for the day. We love the schools so far also. No losses if you move to Grayhawk Forney with First Texas!

Do not buy a Megatel Home unless you like awful warranty, lack of communication and treaded like you no what. Unfortunately I have one, but I'm moving when I retire.
