These lovely ladies were there to help in a time where I needed help with something they didn't offer. So to help me they assisted with a utility bill to offset what I was actually needing help with and I am ever so grateful. I spoke with Chris, and she informed me that they only help 1 time a year. I said that was fine, but she suggested I do the intake. After Chris called back needing clarity. I received a call from a supervisor asking for my utility provider number and saying they helped me before. Yes, I questioned the date she said I received assistance but she said she would look it over again as she was confused just as I was. The tone of her voice let me know she really didn't want to help but said she would call me back after looking again. Shortly after I receive a call from Chris who tells me they aren't going to help because it's too many discrepancies with my story. When I asked what discrepancies she said my work history and I say I "have all these good jobs but I really can't hold a job because I move around alot." I have worked for the federal government for 13 years. The first 10 years were for Homeland Security, which I left because I did not have childcare and the remaining 3 years I did move around because one position was a 2 yr term and the other I wasn't properly trained so I felt it was in my best interest to leave. But to be told don't ever call them again because they will never help me in the future is a bit over the top and I was really caught off guard. If I have to feel this way to get help I honestly don't want it. If they really only help 1x time a year why was it not a definite no in the beginning instead of all the clarity needed as well as wanting the contact information for my utility provider. That let's me know they at least considered it. But to be spoken to by Chris in that manner was not ok regardless of the situation.
