Dapper Cafe is becoming my guilty Saturday lunch treat! Food is always yummy and the vibe is amazing. I told friends yesterday that Dapper makes Starbucks feel so vanilla! Great place to mingle with people from all over the world. Can't wait until my next Saturday visit.

I absolutely loved the vibe from the second I walked in. Their amazing selection of clothing, shoes, decor, and accessories covers a large variety of styles and sizes making it easy to find that perfect something. The owner is fantastic and The Awareness Project is doing so many wonderful things for the community. They also have a cafe where you can hang out and work or have a meeting. While I was there I ordered their mushroom coffee. It was delicious and relaxing. Highly recommend.

This place has changed my life. I came here in a time of need and have had nothing but support, help and everyone cheering me along my journey. My kids absolutely love it here and my oldest volunteers here under the Youth Impowerment Program and they even helped her get her food handlers! This place has many things to offer and if they cannot assist you they have SO MANY RESOURCES! If you are in need or just want to volunteer in the community, this is the place!

AWARNESS PROJECT
Well BE AWARE alright!
This was my first visit and my last! My experience was horrible. I got the information for this facility from 6stones. I work in the school district and volunteer at many organizations but I would never come here again. Someone needs to give these volunteers a workshop on THE COST OF POVERTY EXPERIENCE.

The ladies were volunteers from first united Methodist church they told me because they having clothes giveaway in November. From the moment I entered this lady was RUDE. because I didn’t get or ask her name. My Appointment was set for 12:30 pm. I got there 10 mins before my time. Sat and wait and then was directed to come in to shop. This lady was like hurry we about to close. I said my appointment was at 12:30, what time do you close? She said 1 pm. I had to ask another lady the procedure for collecting items such as how much? Some places have a limit. She said oh we have lots of adult clothes so just get what you want but for children limit to 2 outfits. I said ok thank you.

See some organizations have things posted for you to know information and some will know if your new due to the check in process. Yeah they could benefit from some of these other places on the HOW TO. I had to speak and say I’m new so they would know I’m not familiar with what to do.

I’m so upset with how I felt rushed, stood over( I don’t want to steal your stuff) you know that feeling you have when people just watching you. She kept saying you got a lot several times to me. I hich they give you a white trash bag to put all your items in. All my stuff fit and I still had room for more if I had time. Then she kept slapping her hand together with hangers she was holding saying ok that’s enough your have more than enough! She just harass me the whole time I was there. This was not a pleasant shopping experience for me at!!!! I ask what time is it? She said 10 mins to 1. I mean like I was even told that I could take food if I like but I didn’t even want to bother because I was out of time let the other lady say. So I just took my one bag and left but not before I stopped to speak to the person in charge to share my experience.

That was a waste of my time because he didn’t even care or fake like he cared. He said well they are volunteers! I’m like but you still treat people with dignity. Do you know how one feels just to even have to come and need help due to lacking? No of course not because he must be so proud of himself as a business owner but lacking in customer support and communication! He could use a lesson in a poverty stimulation too. This is my review of this place. Now that I think about it. I came into this place one time just because I was browsing around town and shopped with money in the front of the store and never got harassed like I did today which is in the back of the store(their resource section) Well I will not be giving them my money ever again because if this is how you treat people then I will not contribute so others can be done the same way. My support will go towards other nonprofit organizations!!!
