Obviously off-season stay. Beautiful grounds, friendly staff decent food. Very nice and not crowded. Excellent gift shop. Only disappointment was the spa did not offer pedicures or manicures.

Normally this course is enjoyable and fun to play but not on this day! 1-We were not informed that it was cart path only; as it was 105 out, it was merciless with the lack of shade on the golf course! We would have gone somewhere else with more trees! 2-we were paired with a 3 some which made a 5 some making our exposure out there more hazardous!
The wait time between shots made it a heat related hazard for all of us!
By the end of our round, we were near a heatstroke! Thank God. I had plenty of water to stay hydrated! I will not play there again ever! ?

My spouse and I had a great experience today. First time on the course. They had some major remodeling going on. Followed signs to where they had us check in the parking lot. The person there apologized for the construction and got us a cart immediately. I told my spouse to wait here and I'll go park the truck. The young gentleman said don't worry about it she can follow you out to the parking lot. Checked in with Bob the starter. What a great guy. He asked if we could start a tee time earlier to accommodate a late arrival in the previous foursome. We said no problem. Then he proceeded to give us some tips on the course which we're most helpful. We appreciated that he took his time to make us aware of the intricacies of the golf. Later he met us on the 7th Hole to discuss the impending thunderstorm. And let us know that were no sirens on the course. And it's up to our own discretion. We made it to the back nine. At about # 14 we had lightning within a few miles. We headed back to the pro shop along the cart path. We thought we really have to come back to play these other holes at another time. The only minor disappointment another day was that the greens were lightly sanded. But a very enjoyable day all in all. Definitely on my play again calendar!

Our goal this summer was to play as many Tucson area courses as possible. El Conquistador is 10th! A lot of Tucson courses are so green and lush, friendly, and fun. Staff wouldn’t even say ‘Hello’ or smile on this day. Saw the cart girl once. Our cart had last round’s trash. Price was high for course conditions. A positive, there was plenty of cold water on the course! If the course is working on re-seeding or maintenance, warning signs would be nice or lower price? The place was very busy so economically speaking, charge what the public will pay I guess.
Also, we intentionally stayed at the El Conquistador resort to play at a resort course and they weren’t connected at all.
My first lower than 4 star review.
We can play just as crappy on a beautiful course as any other.

3 stars is because of the excellent customer service we received when arriving to drop of clubs, Rider was fantastic and very upbeat. The course in my opinion is NOT worth the $ we paid. Very dry, lots of bare spots and greens were patchy with new sod on some holes. We had fun, the three guys that joined me were great to play with. Again, the course is WORN OUT. But Kudos to the staff, they were great. I will hold off going again for some time until I see review with better playing conditions.

Wonderful course layout and views. Troon managing now so conditions and service are 5-Star. Nice they have 36 holes. Great option for multiple day group trips. Can’t wait to go back.

Not a bad course. Especially for a beginner like me. There was some areas on the course that I felt were a bit rundown, and at times non golfers would walk the cart path right in front of you as your teeing off. I ignored them and still kept playing lol. The views on some holes were amazing.

Overall its a decent course I will come back to.

Galinis Galinis

I love it here so much they have the coolest pools kids and adults water slide too. There is a fourth pool too if you like being around less people. It feels so good to just relax in one of the clean hot tubs they have! The newly renovated rooms are very elegant and relaxing. This is a must go place for anyone who wants to enjoy a weekend or all week is fun too.
