Teach for America has been around for years. In the early 2000's I applied and was turned down. My grade point average was 3.75, I graduated with honors from Colorado State.

Well it's been 20 years since I applied and was turned down from Teach for America. I was disappointed and I decided to have a family instead.I raised my kids and now as of this past September I am finally teaching thanks to Texas Teachers of Tomorrow.

If you were turned away from Teach for America do not wait 20 years to pursue your dream.

There are other alternative certification programs and we are in desperate need of teachers.

TEACH FOR AMERICA IS NOT ONLY LYING, PLAY POLITICS, AND MISREPRESENTING THE TRUE INTENTIONS THEIR ORGANIZATION TO POTENTIAL AND CURRENT CORPS MEMBERS BUT THEY HAVE ALSO DEMONSTRATED PREJUDICE AGAINST CORPS MEMBERS. THEY PRACTICE THE DISMISSAL AND FORCED RESIGNATIONS OF CORPS MEMBERS DUE TO BIAS AND FOR ILLEGITIMATE REASONS WHICH IS CONTRADICTORY TO THEIR ADVERTISING AND MISSION STATEMENT.
