It's ridiculous how DES Child Support Division don't have a better communication/phone system. I've been calling them for bout 3 weeks now with no call back. When I call it goes straight to voicemail. The 1 to 3 business day phone call return is a lie. I'm not sure if it's an understaff issue or poor customer service. Crazy thing is going through all this hoop jumping for a 5 min convo. Hopefully somebody return my call soon.

The in person assistance is phenomenal. Yet trying to reach a person by phone is impossible. I've been trying the last week to reach someone to terminate my benefits and have been unable to. Which has been an on going issue even when lived in Arizona

This place is not helpful. They only have 3 windows opened and they can't tell you anything. There is no case worker on site. So you have to wait 45 days for them to process anything. People on drugs in line and doing them in the coner of the parking lot. Make you stand in line for 2 hours to tell you to call a number for more help. What a joke.

Customer Service is horrible! I called them about 12 times just today. Lines always busy. The guy who was “helping” me for 30 min did not resolve issue and told me that he was transferring me to higher assistance but put me back in q but due to high volume of calls I got hanged up. Not to mention that he put me on four times hold. I called again 2 hours later just for someone to pick up and hang up on me.

I was told that I don't have Access because I was denied after waiting over 2 hours in line. I showed them my access card and the lady yelled at me and said it didn't matter then asked a coworker standing next to her if it mattered. The coworker said it doesn't matter. I told this is my Access cardfor this year and she continued yelling at me saying that I wasn't listening. I told her she didn't have to be rude and yell at me. I was never rude or yelled at her. I said your not listening either. She asked if I wanted to apply for Access. I said no I already have it. I then said I guess I wasted over 2 hours for nothing because you won't help me. I left with my daughter and called United Healthcare. I was in their system but they said I had to call Access. By this time it was 4:40pm. I was told by the automated system that because of high call volumes they couldn't take my call and to try again later. All I want to do is get my daughter enrolled in preschool. I had a emotional breakdown and sobbed for quite a while. It all seems so hopeless.

Lazy workers. Disrespectful and rude workers. Thought this state cared about its elderly and disabled. Well seeing as how I have all day I will talk to the state about this and see if we can get more deserving workers who are respectable and actually willing to do the job.

I haven't stepped foot in a DES in almost 10 years and my first re-impression is not a positive one. The woman in the Workforce Development section was extremely rude before I even spoke a word to her. Our system is broken, and this was a bad experience.

They’ll go a whole month without answers phone calls, returning phone calls, emails. You have go in office and make it obvious that you expect to be helped. Otherwise they will try to push you out the door for a “later date” that may or may not ever come. I’ve been paying for child care for a month now, have had it set up and all, scraping up cash to try and keep my son in so I didn’t get stuck on the waiting list, and they’re just taking their time with my application. It’s sad.
