I am a local college instructor for South Texas College. I wanted to volunteer for these people just to do something good for the community. They said to get a background check, so I did. It took about three hours and forty dollars. After the background check came back fine, I called to follow up several times. They basically gave me the runaround over and over. "Now's not a good time because ___________. We'll call you back." They never called back. It was always me calling them. I wasted my time and money trying to help this place out. If they didn't want my help, fine. But then why have me do the background check in the first place if they clearly weren't interested? Or maybe they were interested but they're just not professional enough to follow up with people? Anyway, the point is: don't bother. Total waste of time. Volunteer somewhere else.

After donating gently used & some new kids, teens, sm. adult clothes, shoes, coats, beenies, blankets & toys over the years this amazing place continues doing "God's work" & while I don't see the faces of those they help, I thank God for them, knowing they are blessed! Kind, courteous, amazing young people ready to help.

I used to be there bacl in 2018 I believe it's a great place for children that have been seperated from there family and the people that work there are really nice.I'd rate it a 10/10 highly recommend
