I was told at the doctor's office to reach out to the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation about possible assistance. I placed the call, and much to my surprise, they went above and beyond. The funds had been depleted when I called, but they called me immediately when more became available. It was such a smooth process and handled professionally. It was a Blessing in disguise.

I hate writing bad reviews to be honest but here goes. My mother got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer due to her chemo her hair has been falling out. I was not looking for handouts nor her but we came her for information on supporting groups and see if she can find a wig or wrap we can purchase for her. I told the lady that answered the door that the hospital she getting chemo from referrals to them and we live in Anthony, NM so we came after her labs to avoid making 2 trips. The lady that answer the door flat us told us that since we live in NM that they can’t help us and they only help people who live in El Paso county. I was really upset cause my mother wanted more information and they couldn’t help us. I feel so bad that one person gave us so awful experience. I did notify the hospital to refrain for telling patients whom come from NM not to refer them there.

Volunteers are very helpful. Took my mom, who is a breast cancer survivor, and they helped her find a fitted bra. Thank you so much!!!
