I went into this place for a jar of local honey and ended up spending 30 minutes and buying several random things. I ended up speaking to the shop owner pretty much the entire time. She is incredibly nice woman who is extremely proud of her shop and very involved in the making and production of many of the products. What sets them apart is they have incredibly unique bags and wallets and they participate in charitable activities and the makings of these items. She told me that the women who make the bags get to learn how to sew and also learn about Christianity (I don't want to get too much information because I don't want to misspeak). Needless to say, I was impressed. I ended up saving a pretty decent amount of money on my purchases. They have clothes, handmade soap, and just a variety of very unique items. I don't consider myself to be a traditional person, but I would say this store is not just for the traditional in style. Not to mention, it's run by a bunch of women which is great! $25 for 5 bars of handmade soap. I'm a happy girl. Will definitely be going back to purchase a handmade leather bag.

Amazing store! I was so excited to visit this gem in Oakland! I never knew I didn’t have to travel to Memphis to get such cute and festive decor! They will definitely see more of me! Hobby Lobby has nothing on this!

Love this store and all of the precious ladies that work there!! They are like family and always make all of their customers feel important, welcomed, and loved. Some days you will leave with a bag full of goodies but also your heart even more full because your time there wasn’t just about shopping. The ladies that work there are always so encouraging and down to earth. If I am having a bad day or season in life it is very likely that one of the ladies will pray with and/or pray for me and that is a priceless experience and relationship!! Everyone should come for a visit and know you are in for a real treat and blessing!! ❤️

I have known Patti and Kindred Spirit Style since it was part of my neighborhood- Cooper-Young many years ago! From day one, Patti and her staff have always treated me and anyone else who comes in the store like family! You truly feel like you are in her home and enjoying shopping with your kinfolks! This store IS the definition of Southern Hospitality!!!
I now drive almost an hour to go visit them and definitely do some major shopping there.
Her merchandise is only the best brands and she can tell you about everything in the store.

I have been shopping with Kindred Spirit Style since 2016 and I cannot say enough good things about EVERY experience I have ever had with this store and the precious ladies that work there, including it’s owner, Mrs. Patty. I have ALWAYS been greeted with a “Hello, how are you doing today and can I help you find anything today?”. The ladies there will help you find the perfect gift for anyone (babies, toddlers, teens, women, men as well as gifts for the home and pets) and will offer you tons of options to meet your budget. After you have made a purchase, they will even gift wrap it for FREE in a beautiful gift bag with colorful tissue paper and a handmade bow.

Shopping in the store is such a treat, but if you are short on time and need a quick gift to pick up, you can call the store and tell them who or what you are looking to buy for, as well as your budget, and they will help you over the phone. They will have it wrapped and ready for you to just swing by to pick up. It just doesn’t get any easier than that!

Year round, the selection of items to choose from consistently amazes me, but it is the exceptional customer service that I receive with every visit that keeps me coming back. I can promise you this store WILL NOT disappoint you and it is well worth the drive to Oakland to visit.
