This church is meeting a need in the community with a wonderful childcare program. Our children have learned so much and love their teachers. It is obvious they truly care about the children, and we are so thankful our children can be a part of it.

Love this church! Many Sunday school classes to choose from! I go to Lori's 11 class for women. We do comprehensive studies and fellowship various ways. A lot of folks from many church backgrounds makes this a multi- dimentional church, but it is Bible based church for sure! Roland is a great teacher/preacher as well! Very good sermons to chew on, as well!!

Such a kind group of people to visit. So friendly and welcoming. Visiting, I parked on the side closest to the school, and that seemed to be the closest entrance. I attended the Christmas service, which was refreshing!

Intimate and joyful worship! Again, I cannot express the kindness I was shown in my short visit while in the area.

Needs updates big time. Simple things like... Men's restroom doesn't have changing stations and women's has a couch 🤯... They working for a younger crowd which is good. People seek okay. Not of fan of them looking around at the person sitting while they supposed to be singing - judgmental - but that's everywhere..

Never in my life would I have imagined some one that doesn't attend Central Baptist Church, or even lives in the same city or state, be a third party mouthpiece and write such a negative review without knowing the facts.
Pastor James was brought in to revitalize Central Baptist, which frankly, was in dire need of modernization. He has made no decisions without first consulting the church body. He has been completely transparent. This is not his first church.
Some people don't like change, but if what you were doing wasn't working- and not serving the souls of a community like Oak Ridge, and, only satisfying the present church members without growth, then it's time to change, or close the church doors.
The presentation may change, but the message is still the same- the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the word of God.

VBS...took 4 off my grandkiddos...i hung around and went to class too!! It was wonderful...the folks are loving and invite you in..then make you feel like you have always been there!! Hallelujah!! Praise The Lord...3 of my 4 accepted Jesus as their savior and got saved and eternally will be God's children!!
