Very disappointed to see this church “standing with Israel.” I went here a few times when I was younger (I lived at 3343 Memorial apartments). I am pretty positive not every individual in your church agrees with your alliance to a government. I thought churches were for the people and to get closer to Jesus. This is a clear sign pushing away others who may empathize with Palestinians as no government on this earth should harm any children. I can tell this church is only for “certain Christians”, if you get what I mean.

My comment is not meant to be offensive or disrespectful, rather it’s meant to be constructive. The praise and worship was ok, they need to find people who have the talent and the desire for leading the worship, but overall the praise and worship was fine. The speaker on Sunday was the youth pastor, he was very young and the way he was preaching it was obvious that he was inexperienced. It was very unpleasant hearing him talk because there was no clear substance or clear topic in his speech. He was sharing a bit of this and that…etc. The goal of a speaker in any church MUST be to challenge the congregation for righteousness, holiness and obedience to the Lord, its not to entertain the people, rather its to encourage, and admonish them to live Godly lives and being a Christian witness through moral and righteous behavior. Every once in a while you hear a preacher say…O, I can feel the presence of God in this place…etc., but he is not being honest, he most likely had too much Red-Bull before coming to preach. If God’s presence is there, wherever that place is, everyone without exception will feel it, not just the preacher. The “key” issue as always is that those who are in the place of leadership in vast majority of the churches are not praying people. They got their certificate of biblical studies and now they think that they are qualified to teach and lead! These so called Christian leaders don’t realize that they are responsible before God for their teaching and leadership. It’s not about how wonderful he can preach, it’s not a popularity contest, it’s not a competition, it’s not getting your fair share of the pie by eloquently speaking…etc., rather, it’s about how much time he spends in prayer each day to touch God so that he can get instructions and solutions from the Lord to lead the people on the right direction. It is so disheartening for me to see so many churches that are “Spiritually” DEAD. The main reason is the serious lack of prayer. Credentials, diplomas, certificates,…etc. are NOT an excuse or replace a praying leader. Christianity is NOT a buyers market, it’s a sellers market, but vast majority of these preachers not only they really don’t know the word of God, much less the God of the word, and thus innocent people are dying Spiritually and their “crown” is being stolen by these preachers. Being a preacher is a calling and a passion, it’s not a profession, and when a preacher puts more time and effort for entertainment and fancy and clever moves to keep people interested he is stealing the crown of those who follow and hear him. A church is as good as it’s pastor, and when he is too busy planning things, having “Christian” concerts, planning fun events to keep the people interested and happy for them to come back so the offering plate is full, what does that tell you? It tells you that he is not a praying minister/pastor. A minister/pastor MUST pray long and hard to hear from the Lord to understand what God is saying TODAY, and what is the serious burden of the Lord, so that in turn the minister will challenge the congregation and share with passion what the Lord revealed to him, so that the people live an absolute righteous, holy, and obedient life for the Lord. God would rather have 10 people who are truly praying people and living an absolute righteous, holy, and obedient life for the Lord than 10K who are neither hot nor cold. God help us.

What a breath of fresh air. I've been attending for a while and finally decided to become a member. Such a friendly congregation, wonderful pastor (Eddie Turner) who provides solid teaching and preaching - all with a great sense of humor and love. This church has a huge variety of programs for children, youth, adults, men, women and seniors. You are always greeted with a friendly smile at the door. I love this church!!
