Better hope your child doesn’t forget a water bottle or they will refuse to give your child water if they are thirsty after being in 80/90 degree heat. They don’t ID for child pickup they just send kids out without supervision many times. I’ve never been id’d even once which I’m sure could cause them to loose their license to watch kids. The other boys and girls clubs I was apart of were amazing… they always went above and beyond. No issues…. But oak ridge is not apart of the boys and girls club online they are a separate entity and it shows. Overall staff is nice and I’m happy but it’s an unfortunate situation they they close when the schools are closed and if a child doesn’t bring a water bottle or leaves it at school the child is not prioritized however the utility bill is. Last I checked I pay weekly and am forced to pay ON TIME or else. Yet they can’t supply water for children sounds like a failure on the boys and girls club of oak ridges behalf even if the rules say a kid must bring a water bottle… they should have some source of water all the times regardless. That being said for $120 a month it’s not bad. The staff can be a little pushy to the kids as well but overall they are nice but it could be better.

My son has participated in virtually every sport they offer for two years now. He has developed teamwork skills and self confidence in that time. The coaches are great. The entire organization is awesome. Wonderful opportunity for kids to have fun and be active.

My son has been playing sports with the B&GC for 3 years now. It’s unorganized I’m not sure how teams are selected if the coaches pick the teams but something is amiss. How 1 team is picked without a coach so the teams aren’t balanced. I’m also disabled in order for me to enter the club I have to go to the far end of building to get to level ground. I could use the steps if there were a handrail, which there aren’t any. If it rains the only level to enter the facility floods so by the time you get to the door you shoes and bottom parts of your pants are soaked.
I am very unhappy with the Oak Ridge B&GC

They do a great job with my girls after school. Their extra-ciricular activities like sports, and cheer, has been an awesome bonus for the girls too!

I went here everyday after school until I reached highschool I was taken care by Hans and Stan They took kids in that needed a safer place after school A FAMILY Heck I don't even remember paying to participate in sports because they just wanted young kids in a good environment WOW have things changed I barely let my son play there because of the changes and it just seem to get worse I hate to say that because I grew up idolizing the current boss and I'm not even mad at him he was dealt a rough hand but I can't even stand going in there without feeling like my son and I have to put our heads against the wall like we're not even wanted
