Johnson County Center for the Arts is a wonderful place to buy various types of fine art large and small, hand crafted wood works to ironworks and more. I love the fact that you can sit down, have a cup of coffee or tea and just take the beauty all in. The people there are friendly and make you feel welcomed which means a lot to me. Will definitely keep going back to see what's new.

Nestled in the historic downtown area of tiny little Mountain City Tennessee, the Johnson County Center for the Arts is a treasure well worth the detour if you're travelling through NE Tennessee or NW NC ... you'll find local artists and artisans and their work, live events including traditional bluegrass, folk, and country music, and classes (if you are there on the right days of the week). I am lucky enough to have family in the area and I visit twice a year, and every time I find something to delight myself or pick up a gift for a friend or family member. The local artists/artisans will sometimes be hangin' out, which is a special treat!
