Things started out great with Sonya, but went sour after a while. She made lots of suggestions about what we should do in our personal life and careers, and what to do with our child. It was completely absurd the things she suggested. Eventually she got to where she would argue with me about literally everything. If I said I called to make an appointment, she would say I didn’t. If I told her she said something, she’d deny it. The way things quickly twisted and changed was beyond bizarre. When it was her and Margeurite, things seemed to be pretty smooth and good. Now I think it’s her and all new staff, and it has gone downhill badly.

I went to an appointment with my son and my mother to discuss a treatment plan for my son in assumption that he would be diagnosed as ADD/ADHD. We accomplished nothing here. Sonya was kind at first but couldn't stay on topic or focused on a solution or treatment options for my son aside from telling us to just give him turmeric or try mount dew because "it at times has the opposite effect on children with ADHD and it may calm him down". My mom has said repeatedly that she isn't sure what is being accomplished with him going there because they just sit and talk while my son plays with toys...again, with no structured treatment plan in place. Today when my mom needed paperwork for the school to show he has been working with them Sonya said that me and my mother never followed through with parenting classes and that my son attending Joyful Life is "none of the school's business". My mom is very patient and tolerant and for her to leave upset is very frustrating. We were never given specific instructions to attend parenting or any other treatment plan for that matter. This place is very disorganized and unprofessional.

I had an appointment scheduled with this group to talk about hard times. The first two sessions were great. Marguerite was wonderful and understanding. (The stars are for her) I made a mistake and misplaced my appointment time. I had attempted to contact the office through email and via telephone for several days before my appointment to confirm with no response or a promise to return my "anxiousness for my appointment time." The amount of disrespect from a professional concerning therapy was astounding. I will not be going back to this office due to a lack of communication.

I went to this program and put everything into it only to find out later how hypocritical this counselor is she talks about people behind their backs,will turn on you in a heart beat, she thinks she is better than anyone,self -entitled always putting other programs down just not worth it to go there no wonder there is no success rate. Definitely would not recommend.

Beware of this Counselors!!! I was warned by two attorneys not to use this place. Sonya Moore was assigned to be my counselor. She is not trust worthy with your confidential information. I was advised by a friend of my ex spouse that she was sharing my sessions with my ex wife. Very unprofessional!!!! I knew this to be true because after one of our sessions between Sonya Moore and myself. She asked to speak with me in private but was afraid that my ex wife would see us talking outside of her office and stated that my ex wife would go off on her if she saw us talking!! The counseling was for me and my son and my ex wife was not supposed to be apart of the counseling. I have never dealt with the most unprofessional person ever. She judged my son and myself's religious beliefs and even stated that she was going to suggest to my ex wife to find another church to go to!! Me. Moore also advocated that my son be prescribed antidepression drugs without my consent. All though I had expressed to her that I had a childhood friend who's child had committed suicide. I wished that I never used her services!!! I was warned by two local attorneys!!!!Be Ware!!!

This place is terrible, I went for my 1st appointment after an assessment and they guy had 2 weeks to review the case and didn't bother. They didnt know who was my person and neither did I bc no one told me. Then the guy took a 10 min break at my appointment time bc "he needs one". Then ask me why i was there!!! I filled paperwork out for 2 hrs you should at least have the reasoning down. Then He starts yelling at me!!! I dont take well to strange men I've never met yelling at me so I asked for a manger and he tells me that's him but the other counselor five minutes later states that he's brand new. You will walk out with more problems than you came to get help for.

By far the most unethical and back biting place /person I’ve ever dealt with.Sonya Moore does nothing but put herself on a pedestal and talk down everyone except her lap dogs/pick of the class I truly feel sorry for anyone who has to endure so much as a phone call with this lady little alone a full session.She comes off as caring and trust worthy at first but trust me it quickly turns around the moment you express a different option or point out where she is wrong my best advice is Run Run very far away
