My husband, Phil, and I worked with both a Good News Club and were on the Child Evangelism Fellowship Board for nearly 10 years. I can truly say their ONLY priority was Teaching about Jesus to children. They truly fulfill the mandate of Jesus to 'suffer the little children and forbid them not.'

I first became aware of Good News Clubs when I was a principal of an elementary school. The Club met once a week after school in our cafeteria. I was thrilled that children, many of whom didn’t go to church, were learning about Jesus! I could definitely see a positive change in the attitude and behavior of those who attended! When I retired (over 10 years ago), I was asked to serve on the Clarksville Committee of Child Evangelism Fellowship, which offers the Good News Clubs. It is a joy and an honor to serve! Not only do I wholeheartedly believe in our mission of teaching children about Jesus and discipling them, but I feel it is urgent that we do so! The people I have met through Child Evangelism Fellowship are dedicated to this mission, and they shine with the Light of Jesus as they share the Gospel! I thank God for this powerful ministry, and I enthusiastically support it with my prayers, my time, and my donations!

I retired from classroom teaching in 2007, but I did not retire from the love of children or the love of teaching. CEF offered me a chance to continue in both. The need for reaching children for Christ and helping them understand God’s Word to grow in faith and courage is an immediate and eternal need. My Good News Club experience was fun, nourishing, and important. Some years I was a leader. Other years I was a helper. Every year was valuable. Now I’ve retired from physically meeting with the kids, but my heart is still there. I was selfish in that I wanted Good News Club for my own great granddaughter, but if she needed it, so do millions of other kids just like her. I pray it will always be available.

I was apart of a Good News Club as a child and it was a natural transition to serve here at my current church at our elementary school across the street from our church for the last 14 years. God has used our Good News Club in multiple ways to not only reach the kids with the gospel, but to be an effective tool in our community. Our local CEF staff lead by the McAllister's have been an amazing team to work along side. To God be the glory for the many many of kids coming to faith in Christ and even several I have had the honor of baptizing as they journeyed in faith. May CEF have a bright future as we all journey in these days of darkness.

I heard of CEF and even used some of their materials, but never taught in the Good News Club program. Most of the students in our club do not go to church. They would have no opportunity to hear the story of God's redemptive love if they weren't coming to GNC. I am impressed with the materials and well mapped out club time. The lessons are completely Biblical and the evangelistic component is evident while naturally fitting into every session. The leaders make our role as volunteers easy and enjoyable. I am grateful I am able to be a part of Good News Club.

Awesome way to share Jesus with children, they love coming to club and for many of them it is the only way they ever hear about Jesus. They absorb they hear stories from the Bible and how they can relate what God is telling them to their own lives. As the person who sends out their personal prayer requests it sometimes breaks my heart,, children shouldn't have to ask for prayer they they get enough to eat or no one hits them and the love and concern for their families and friends during Covid has especially touched my heart. I can assure you if you volunteer or donate financially you will be blessed, And most importantly please be in prayer for this ministry that touches so many lives and every child you see, and remember you may be the only Jesus they see, I encourage anyone on the fence go to a club and observe and listen and pray about it and let God lead you where HE wants you.

We have supported CEF for many years because we have seen this ministry's powerful and positive effect on the students, parents, and staff in our local schools.
John and Lynn are superb administrators, and they are a joy to work with. It is a privilege to join them in taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to our children.
