I was at Harmony house for 6 months. During my 6 months I was given the biggest room of the house and told to monitor and support all the girls in the house. (Something called a Residential Advisor.) I was given this title due to my well spoken, outgoing, caring, loving, and compassionate personality. During the 6 months staying in Harmony House I was not checked on mentally not even one time by staff. I would clean Harmony house spotless, keep an eye on their home, and even helped the other women in the house with their own issues. When I came across my own mental health issues dealing with heartbreak and depression I shut down and did not want to speak with staff and I knew they did not care for me because not once did they ask if I was even okay (before shutting down.) I was forced to speak with staff and when I abruptly refused due to personal issues they kicked me out and threw me into a hotel for 3 days. (Even made me pay under my name insinuating I would destroy the hotel and made me out to look like a monster.) On the third and final day of being in the hotel I was told my Father passed away. I had to deal with homeless, being alone, and trying to figure out where I would lay my head next all while processing a deceased parent. After those 3 days I was left homeless for months dealing with abuse, neglect, and mistreatment as I told them I had nowhere to go! Karla, Cherelle, Minnie and the one male in charge Ali all did not care as their business came first. I was given a letter that stated complete lies about bomb threats (and so on.) and all is beyond a lie. I was told I could save to get a vehicle, I was told I would be able to save money for housing and none of those promises were given to me. The staff at Harmony house truly pretended to have care for the girls of the house but they in fact did not. I was traumatized behind thinking people cared for me and they did not. I struggle with trusting due to the lies that were told on me, to me, and then thrown out of the house as if I never mattered or helped them with anything. It was truly devastating and heartbreaking to be lied on, kicked out and most importantly finding out that this has been done to multiple girls under the table. If you reside at Harmony house your best bet is to play it safe because they will team up against you and make you look like you were not fit with their house even if they have to lie on you. I pray that all girls in the harmony home get in, and get out safely and not dumped off into homelessness. It is unfair the trauma I had to go through from lies, to being kicked out with nowhere to go. Cherelle made it very clear that they have done this to multiple girls and just removed them from the home. This business was supposed to help women in a lot of ways but instead they will make empty promises, not get you proper help, won’t check on you, and lord forbid you have a breakdown they will under any circumstances protect their business and provide you with homelessness. It was traumatizing and hard for me to trust people moving forward because I now fully understand people don’t truly care for you they will use you for their own good and break their word and cause you to fall on your face. I went through horrible conditions after being wrongfully removed from harmony house. I wish all women the best coming here and just wanted to tell my story. You deserve to know what to expect from staff. I am now in my own apartment that took me 7 months to get on my own and suffered endless abuse until I saved money in an abusive home. I hope this helps ladies decide if they are willing to go to Harmony house. If you do, please do as told and stay as private about your life as possible. This is not to slander Harmony House for I am thankful for the short time I believed I was cared about. I simply wanted to share my experience in the trauma I endured.
