"I'm forever grateful for Access Women's Shelter in Akron. The safe and clean environment provided me with a sense of security and dignity. Their exceptional clothing program helped me prepare for job interviews, boosting my confidence. But what truly made Access stand out was the compassionate staff, who treated me like family - with love, support, and kindness.

To everyone at Access, thank you for your dedication and hard work. You're changing lives! Access is a shining example of what a shelter should be, and I feel fortunate to have experienced it. It's truly one of the best shelters in America."

I will can never understand this place they are open becuase of the funding they get from us. There's dozens of donors who come in and donate brand new barely used things . And we never receive any of it . The staff go through it take what they want to there family's and leave us nothing . This place is corrupt watch what you do if you have children cuss they will not hesitate to call cps and get your child taken from you. The lunch lady refuses to gove dinner or lunch our of you forget to sign up . Denial of food hut we are homeless make it make sense . And they have people in this place that are unstable mentally with children around I don't agree with at all m don't come to this place .and they procrastinate on who they want to house they are racist and stereotypical individuals that work here .

This place really turned my life around. They are wonderful woman who uplift homeless women and help them to be independent. I feel empowered by them and I'm grateful I got to stay with them and get on my feet where I am now in my own apartment. Thank you access ladies!

Great resource for homeless women, and for whom have children as well. Staff for the most part were kind and helpful, the lesser staff were rude and disrespectful at best. It is very strict (a little too strict IMO) but it is fairly clean and well-kept. Not much real help in finding housing for once your maximum 60 day stay is over, however.
