Their live chat was just that - a live chat that didn’t put me thru a bunch of multiple choice questions to get to what I was asking. Great service!

I was putting in a review of a business in Medina, however when I went to submit it the review had disappeared probably due to a technical error. I contacted the BBB to inquire as to what happened. I went through the chat room. The person on the other end was wonderful. He or she tried everything they could to find the review, but alas it is in cyberspace somewhere. The person apologized and offered a suggestion for next time to print the review as a document so I could then copy and paste without losing the review. I was very thankful for the help I received.

I was researching the Akron BBB for information on a local window contractor. Though the business had not registered for BBB accreditation, the BBB agent was able to provide me with a profile of the company. That in itself was beneficial. The BBB agent was extremely prompt, courteous and thorough in response to my questions. I have used BBB services before. I really appreciate having the Akron BBB.

Your local tech came out and said the leaf gutters should not have been installed on my gutters due to the patio being over the gutters. He then demonstrated that the screen needs to "primed" with rain to function correctly. Once again the water flows over the edge when it rains. Just another snake oil tactic to avoid a refund, knowing their product is garbage

BBB Akron refused to process a new complaint against SummaCare, claiming that they do not process duplicates despite the fact that no where in the BBB criteria is this presented to the customer upfront. It is highly deceptive for BBB to have hidden requirements that are not visible to the complainant as they put in their complaint. It is against BBB policy to add requirements to their established criteria. I plan to follow up with Senator Brown and the Federal Trade Commission as a complaint against the BBB … this is not the first time that the BBB has failed to process a complaint. Just look at that 2020 investigation pay for ratings a while back. Employee that dismissed the complaint was Mariah and neither she nor her management nor Cleveland management responded back to my email … seems there are other related reviews with the same complaint against Mariah. Management has apparently not resolved this ongoing issue with this employee. Email went like this: ā€œMariah ... I also left message for you. This is not a duplicate complaint. The initial Summacare complaint was for Summacare failing to document all the details of a billing error. The manager had contacted me and apologized and assured me that she would address the issue with the department. We accepted the response however on 12-20-23 we received a letter from Summacare that misrepresented my complaint and made no mention of issues with the customer service department. This rejection of our complaint is making it impossible to resolve this issue with Summacare! Please process the complaint. This is not a duplicate complaint - it is a new complaint that addresses the issue of misrepresenting a customer complaint. Please process the complaint. PPS: no mention of ā€œduplicateā€ below ....

A.A.S. Service Inc. - we just moved to the area and had 2 fireplaces which needed serviced/repaired. The fireplaces were converted from wood burning to gas and we were hoping to get them back to wood burning. I called A.A.S. Service Inc. and Marlon Schneeberger, owner, called me back right away. He came to our home within a few days and did a through inspection informing us what he was doing and showing us his findings. He explained exactly what needed to be done and was very pleasant to talk with. Our project was completed in 2 days and we are extremely happy with the results! We definitely recommend A.A. S. Service Inc. and Marlon Schneeberger!

I want to commend Rachel on her fine representation of BBB in Akron, Ohio. I just chatted with her on-line and she was extremely professional, caring , & helpful in her advice to me, especially since this company I have had problems with is not BBB affiliated. I feel Rachel deserves
recognition from BBB for her fine attitude towards her job and BBB's customers. I have worked my lifetime for 2 major companies so recognize top employees when I come into contact with them. She is one of those people. Thank you so much, Rachel. You are definitely an asset to BBB!!!
