Have no idea how this restaurant has the reviews it has. My rice tasted like it was heated in the microwave and didn't even crumble when a fork passed through it. The tamales had no actual chile/salsa, i guess its my fault for going to some faux mexican place that doesn't even know what a good salsa is. Very disappointed waste of money

I love this place a lot. Especially Laura!! The food was so fresh and good. Only gave three stars on service because you order your food at a counter and then pick up your food at that counter and serve yourself. But the gentleman who takes your order and Laura, who gets it ready for you to pick up we're both incredible very friendly and gave great smiles and had upbeat attitudes with the customers. The atmosphere was a little cramped and super loud, but it was well worth it all for the great food and I would return often if I were close.

This is a great place to feed a family or for a quick and tasty meal. If you're looking for Mexican food with a heavy New Mexico influence, this is it. Anyone who has lived in New Mexico knows that you always order your food "red or green", and you can get both here. Yes, we have a number of Mexican restaurants in Monument, and they are all different. Do yourself a favor and try this one too. Arlene's gets my vote for delicious food and friendly service.

We love Arlene's Beans. The taquitos and stacked enchiladas are my favorite. The margaritas are the best and the service is great. We get our food pretty quick no matter what time of day we visit. It's pretty good for a fast casual restaurant.

I'm a regular who enjoys coming in and getting the same thing. By now, the staff recognizes me for takeout. Super friendly folks.

The food is great, depending on your expectations. My partner thinks the food is okay, so judging by her and other reviews, just know that you're ordering Mexican takeout in Monument, Colorado. Not exactly food on the border. So take the other reviews with a grain of salt. I personally love the salsa and chips!

This place deserves the love it gets on the reviews, local business doing local things.

Would recommend at least trying this place.

Great little local Mexican food joint. The food is made to order and is always fresh. This time I had a Loco burrito smother in green and red sause (Christmas style). The red sauce is perfect but maybe too spice for many, the green sauce is very good and is mild. We had a full group with us so a large variety of food was ordered. The kids really enjoyed the quesadillas (chickens and beef). Chicken was better. Definitely recommend this place.

I really wanted to like this restaurant. I've heard good things about it. We ordered take-out and were so disappointed. We had a side of beans which tasted like plain pinto beans from a can; we also had a wet burrito and a dry burrito. The pork was dry and the rice was crunchy in both burritos. Maybe it was an off night, but we won't be eating from here again.
