The nursing staff is pretty great including CNA's and activities. It was a good place overall but they are very short staffed and at times need more supervision for the residents especially in the memory care unit. The admin is why I gave 2 stars, we had a meeting about my dad's care and was told we needed to find a place that could accommodate him better. Weeks went by with no response on the issue. My dad and another resident was put at risk when a situation arose which could have been avoided. If someone is out they need to find another person to step in and continue to help run things. The ball was majorly dropped. I hope they can get staffed up and help the people who are truly trying to care for the residents!!!

As a former employee of The Villas at Sunny Acres, I can't express enough how much I loved working there. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it feel like a second home not just for the residents, but for the staff as well.

I showed up to get a tour of the place for my mother-in-law and when the gentleman came in I could tell he didn't want anything to do with us. He walked up with a confused body language. Looking at me like why are you here. Clearly gonna get out of this tour. And he did. I toured four places that day. Every other place was very friendly and eager to help.

A Home Away From Home. I cannot say enough positive things about The Villas at Sunny Acres. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and at ease. The staff, especially Stepheni, the administrator, are incredibly kind, compassionate, and dedicated to providing exceptional care. Her knowledge and professionalism are evident in every interaction.

My aunt was recently admitted to Sunny Acres after being discharged from the hospital. The staff has been very welcoming and extremely helpful. I was so pleased with how easy they made the transition for her and for us. Every time I visit she is always complimenting the staff who take care of her and she hasn’t had a bad thing to say at all. I would recommend this place should you ever need this type of service in the future.

As the Activity Director for a little over 2 years now, I have absolutely seen our growth.
The activities team is the best team I've ever worked with! They bring such a variety of life enrichment opportunities either 1 on 1, small/large group gathering, socials, parties or special events. They focus on individual likes and preferences and offer activities that meet each person's needs. They are very dedicated in their roles and deeply care for the residents in our community.
Our care team meets daily, plans and executes person centered cares and interventions and are constantly looking for ways to improve all of our practices.

Villas at Sunny Acres facility located in Thorton, Colorado is a city Healthcare Facility located with a unique backyard outdoor mountain range view. Many different care needs are available (Skilled Rehab, Longterm Care, Memory Care Center, Assisted Living, Independent Living etc…) Real caring nursing clinical staff ( that go above and beyond) and continue to meet all kinds of a well rounded individual care need. I really enjoy the friendly atmosphere with the staff and residents.

I have been working at Vasa for 2 years. I honestly love it! The team here is family. I’ve never worked for a DON who was so family oriented & understanding of family life. The nursing team is great, hardworking, reliable and honest. I’ve brought my grandmother here after her stroke & our amazing Therapy helped get her to reach her goals and she was able to go back home. I enjoy being here and part of this team everyday! We have so many options to choose IL, AL, Rehab, Ltc for your loved ones, you won’t regret giving Vasa a try!
