Very well maintained state park. Friendly staff. Lovely sand beaches with covered picnic tables. Archery range at greenwood cove is awesome. Static targets and 3D range. Nice two lane boat ramp. Trail system throughout park. Very professional and friendly park employees

Very beautiful nighttime views! This is a nice campground. We had some stoned and rowdy neighbors but that is the only negative thing I can say. We saw deer walking through the campground, my kids freaked out. If possible, take a night vision device and you will see more stars than you dreamed possible. Site is remote and it sounds like a pack of coyotes or wild dogs roam close by.

If you’re from Denver, you should watch out for the blonde park security guard and the 20 year old boy with frosted tips. They really hate Denver people (even though we pay their salary) and write tickets to everyone on shore for different offenses while we washed the skip the locals for doing the same things. They said they process them with “education”. In 40 years at state parks I’ve never gotten a ticket and we got 3 in 2 days.i would recommend waiting for the current regime to get lost before exploring this park. We left early to avoid any more malicious prosecution since most of us are public servants.

Kudos to the really kind and welcoming camp hosts at the Pronghorn campsite for making it such a lovely place to stay that is also extremely well kept. The views of the reservoir are quite breathtaking. There is a cover over the picnic table at each site, as well as electricity, and there are plenty of clean bathrooms located around the campground.

We are tent campers. The Pronghorn campground is beautiful and very well maintained, kudos to the very kind and friendly camp hosts. The views of the reservoir are stunning. Each site comes with a shelter over the picnic table, power and there are plenty of clean toilets around the camp.

For tent campers, I'll say this is an exposed and very windy campsite. The rangers told us there was a wind vortex in the basin and we sure did feel it.

We spent a couple of days camping here. It’s a nice lake with not a lot of people crowding it. We had some wind and a few storms but still nice and quiet.

There was lots of space to social distance and lots to do. Camping, boating, swimming and fishing. We will be back.
