Going to the Recovery Cafe is one of the best decisions I've made in my entire life! From the very first moment that I walked down those steps, and into the cafe, my life immediately changed for the better. Imagine an entire community of like minded, good hearted, loving people, who are all about helping you to become the very best version of yourself you can be, strictly out of the goodness of their hearts. If you feel as though you are all alone in this world and no one cares about you, just pay them a visit and prepare to have your hope in humanity fully restored. I promise you that you will NOT regret it. The Recovery Cafe is my home away from home, for which I am eternally grateful for, and I cannot envision my life without them in it. Trust me, this is exactly what you're looking for, so search no longer, just pay them a visit and see for yourself. Your future, better self will thank you, guaranteed. Thank you all, for making my life sooooo much better, I love you all, and appreciate you more than words could ever express.

Good people on staff, lots of fun events. Good sober community to be around. As with any sober community, there's a few shady characters to watch out for, but that's to be expected. I do wish weekend events ran later, it would be great to have some sober events on Friday/Saturday nights. Overall good vibes. This is definitely a place I would recommend to those who are new in recovery, and people who have been around the sober community for a while and are looking for something new to try.

Came here to meet a friend and found food and even a calm holistic environment. 5 stars for their efforts in mental health and outreach programs. They seemed to care about making sure people had the space they needed. My friend never showed up, but im glad I came. These folks truly care about the community, no questions asked.

No no no no…. Ok so I am not a recovering drug addict , I’m actually the victim of people taking advantage of me but I met my “friend” here who I loyally came to see while I just happen to be moving. I hadn’t seen her in years and she treated me like a homeless bum . I am a CU graduate with an English degree, I am an artist and im fluent in 3 different languages after growing up overseas. I sought to reunite with someone I loved and was treated brutally and unkindly and disrectfully in return . My anxiety levels are so high because I don’t feel safe in my situation. I said some negative things about Colorado in general. But I came back the next day and was bullied by the staff although I wasn’t doing anything wrong . The girl who does acupuncture was the only kind soul there. It turns out my friend only wanted to serve for every last penny I had after I bought her food on my food stamps card and gave her a gift and also one for her daughter who I was so happy to meet the other day. Yesterday she said we weren’t connecting and that I was asking her to cross boundaries to just be supportive of me while I called my toxic parents who stole my money. Then she called her co worker / supervisor in to help us “connect “ better. I told Chris what I had been working on with Kristina and then I said right now I really don’t feel like talking I just wanted to breathe and chill and sit and look up things just like all the other people sitting down in the other room . He said no and kept trying to engage me in a nasty conversation. I asked him three times that I just wanted to sit and breathe. Then he said you better go outside for a walk and come back later . I was upset and like why but I got up to walk it and asked if we could talk outside. Kristina started picking up her phone and asking him if she should call the “authorities “! I wasn’t even complaining yelling crying, throwing things , threatening anyone. So I was walking out and saw I nice guy and asked him if he would talk to me outside for a minute. “Chris” the supervisor said no you can’t to him . Which was also shocking!!as I was walking out both my friend snd Chris continued to be more and more verbally aggressive. Kristina dumped my bag outside and Chris handed me a battered woman’s shelter pamphlet and said now I couldn’t come back today at all . I as just asking why the whole time and they took that as resisting their words but again, I wasn’t doing anything wrong. I told my friend she was making me feel hopeless and suicidal. But she was already on the phone with the police. Granted I was very anxious and uncomfortable but I wasn’t again yelling or screaming or threatening I wasn’t high or drunk . And this is what I got ! It’s sad. I left and was so upset and was crying in the church bathroom next door because I felt betrayed by my friend . When I had gotten there in the morning Kristina my friend said that I had been negative to her staff people.the day before. I’m under so much stress I can’t remember what was said but agreed not to be that way and wasn’t at all that day. I didn’t say anything wrong or rude or disrespectful to anyone. Not to my friend or her coworkers or other clients. They have a bunch of scary pictures of creepy looking men in the wall who quite honestly look like sex offenders and when I asked who they were the day before someone told me those are the people banned from the place. Now my picture is probably going up there. 😢
I told the police what had happened and what was really going on that day . The officer told me that if his friend had done that to him he probably wouldn’t talk to her anymore.So I went o a coffee shop and messaged my friend told her that was horrible to do that to me. Next she blocked me on facebook. . What was that all about? I am sad to lose a friend but that was definitely not very nice and now I’m even more scared to be in Longmont. I am a very good person and my friend has to act that way to make herself feel good about herself. This is sad. I didn’t deserve any of that.

I have nothing but great things to say about Recovery Cafe. The staff is amazing, the director is amazing, the overall inclusiveness, compassion and helpfulness and support are critical to my recovery and I can only hope others are blessed to find this community as well.

I absolutely love this place. The staff they have there are fantastic. And the lunch they serve has always been delicious and healthy. If you're looking for support in your recovery or you just really need somebody to talk to come on down.......
