Cherokee Electric is FANTASTIC!
In a time where customers are complaining about those other power companies for soaring prices, Cherokee Electric has maintained their integrity and decency.
My power bills are affordable. My calls are always answered if we have a problem or an outage.
I am thankful for Cherokee Electric!

The employees who work for Cherokee Electric are very nice, courteous, and will get your power back on as fast as they possibly can if it is within their means. Good people. I have no complaints with the company's employees. Everyone from the receptionist to the line people have been outstanding. With that being said, since 2022, our location, off hwy 278, has had 72 power surges, that has destroyed multiple appliances, electrical equipment and devices. Nothing Cherokee Electric has done has solved the problem. Numerous calls and crews showing up to help, yet the power surges continue. Yesterday, my computer was destroyed by another power surge. Our neighbors HVAC system was ruined, and it will cost thousands to have another one installed. Something they can't afford to do. At this point, if I had been told how bad the electric infrastructure was in the area, I never would have moved to the location.

There was a scheduled power outage on 4/17 that I had no notification of. I called to request my address be spared from the outage because I work from home. I was told I should have a backup plan or go work at the public library. Needless to say I work with sensitive customer information and we all know about hackers on public Internet forums. I work in Accounting and I constantly view customers banking and credit card information. I have endured the constant power surges with this company. But this takes the cake so to speak. I gave 1 star but truly should be zero

They said deposit goes by credit score.my grandaughter has a perfect score and still has to pay highest deposit.

Service goes off all the time. And you better not be late!!! They will cut you off before you get your second bill!!! You may or may not get a courtesy call. I get that it's your bill to pay. But they are the only option and they have 0 compassion for Cherokee county folks.. can't stand them.

I have never had any kind of problems with our service, getting po restored in a timely manner BUT today I hit a brick wall!!! When I got my bill and opened it up my wife had to call the paramedic and I was hospitalisized for heart related issues. That's all I'm doing to say about this. I don't know who I need to speak with about our bil but have never gotten a bill this extreme especially in the summer

2 yrs in and still constant outages with no explanation as to why with no one ever capable of answering a single question you have and you have a special needs daughter who uses machines and you cant afford to replace groceries it really starts ticking you off.!!! It is sad when you say something about it and people can guess what street you live on bc they claim that when they lived on that street as a kid they constantly had outages thru out their child hood too. So the chronic outages have been happening for decades and they've yet to remedy it. Nor can they give even a small guess as to whyyyy ughhhh it's so frustrating.

I can’t relate to all the other review posts. We never have outages. The bill is Always in the mail. And we have a 3 story cabin with a two level height ceiling in the living area that has a loft for the upstairs bedroom and bathroom and our bill averages $250 year round. We are a family of 5 and constantly have our big screen tv on (all night) we keep our home comfortable no matter the season. This company has been good to us.
