This is a wonderful museum that is a surprise with the historic exhibits and the dinosaur bones. It is very well done and it was free the exhibit of historic clothing “Head to Toe” was quite good. Also “Dalls” room was very interesting. We took well over an hour but we love museums such as this gem. Also a great history of the Royal Gorge bridge. A short walk from the Royal Gorge Railroad and worth the visit.

What happen to being able to walk around and look at everything without having someone hovering over you like your about to steal something or just being rushed through. Whats funny is the people that work here alot of them dont know the history of the items on display. Just make stuff up because they think people don’t have a clue.

Janell and I enjoyed the scenery, we took the gondola across to the other side, and walked on trail to the Royal Gorge Bridge. We went on the bridge to look at all the flags and looked down to the bottom. An older man lost his baseball cap when there was a gust of wind (+30 mph). We went to the souvenir store and bought a water bottle.
