I've rented from places all over the country, so when I found out it's low income etc I truly expected the normal. Stained walls, carpets and an odor you can't really get rid of. To say I was shocked to recieve the opposite is an extreme understatement. I was accepted in no time, expected 18+ month wait list, in a matter of days from receiving my papers they were working on the apartment that is now mine. I know they're rather older in years however, they're maintained better than any complex I've ever seen. Truly feel blessed to have found this place for the kids and me.

I fear someday that someone might tamper with one of my vehicles but feel generally safe about our parking areas. They don't do a good job on snow removal or follow the lawn maintenance schedule however. Nor has the maintenance man even bother with the 4 sprinkler heads that spray my truck in the lot nor has either of them been adjusted (and 4 other broken heads have not been replaced). I dislike how dirty the laundry machines leave clothes however it's nicely priced I suppose. I think 6 washers and 2 big washers (of which both are never working at the same time) are not capable of handling the amount of laundry that gets done here as well as the size of the room not having good air circulation . The ladies in the office are very nice, friendly, and professional however I didn't think employees were allowed to live on site nor give family members preferential treatment and mive them ahead of other people ot families that were already on the waiting list, however Im not in charge. I'd love to work here and live here like the cleaning lady and secretary but dont want to move out just to gain employement. I don't like how some people are allowed to have pets of their choosing but since mine is 80 lbs instead of under 20 and is a Labrador he's not allowed to live here. Oh but he could if i printed off a bogus emotuinal support certificate online and had a "local dr" sign it.That makes it quite inconvenient to keep my family together since we have to stay in separate places. I love Julesburg but feel that the level of people on drugs here is through the roof and we all can honestly admit that lower income families are at risk and the apartments is the only housing authority in town to my knowledge. In fact, my neighbor a few doors down just got caught with something like 2500 fentynal pills and is in jail for that identity theft and another was cooking meth in his apartment when he said it caught on fire and he suffered 3rd degree burns from the incident. He was consequently evicted and/or in jail. The details were unknown at the time of this review. That's just 2 of the apartments out of almost 50. Sheriff Crowder and the deputies are doing their best to keep most of the rifraff at bay and I know we (everyone in America) face the same challenges so it's hard to know what to do, who i could ask, or who would know where to get that information. I think the soon to be ex-high school building would be a magnificent treatment facility and that is something the community could use.
The community room aka the rec room at julesburg housing is kind of outdated but clean and a nice addition to host a birthday/graduation party etc. And lastly the pipes all need to be replace as well as softeners installed so the hard water wouldn't mess with your skin,or leave dirt in your hair. It might even clean the laundry! Instead of getting skin inflammations and obtaining the worst excyma I have ever had in my life maybe I'd get some relief! maybe even be tolerable. To have to buy bottled water because the water here in unusable for food drinks bottles, or even laundry. I also feel a free purified water machine should be available in each of the 4 circles of apartments. I feel alot of discrimination and preferential treatment goes on here but mabey I'm misinformed as I try to mind ny own business and keep to myself mostly.
I moved In here 3 years ago due to covid divorce and the need for a easy accessible apartment so i could have my hip replaced. The worst things about my apartment is :1)no garbage disposal or dishwasher,
2) can not cook a full size pizza or cake due to my stove and oven being to small,
3) No BATHTUB FOR ME TO SOKE IN!!!!:( I REALLY WOULD LOVE THAT FOR MY ARTHRITIS AND DEGENERATIVE DISC DISEASE IN MY BACK BUT AM TOLD THAT'S NOT A NECESSITY ITEM AND I CANT HAVE ONE NOR OR CAN I HAVE AN APARTMENT WITH one
4) I also don't like how they can enter without u being present to witness wether or not they touch your belongings. Some are given warning others are not plain and simple just like the inspections.Haha thats a joke too
