Genuinely great experience. First day I went a little late in the day, around 5:30, and a mechanical engineer named Thomas who works there helped me navigating through finding a bike and even gave me a small lesson in how to ride as I haven't used a bike in 15 years. Felt bad for making him stay a few minutes after 6, but he was just genuinely interested in helping me out. Didn't make a purchase then, but I went the next day (this morning) and another person (I'm terrible with names unfortunately and only asked for it once, thus I can't remember now) there helped me to find one that was a little more comfortable. He was just as cool and helpful, and again he was just really interested in finding me a good deal for my use case. Both of these guys are great at what they do, and are just great to be around in general.

Cant recommend this place enough

Not a good place to go for a new cyclist, I was immediately told they wouldn’t have a bike my size and that they wouldn’t be able to help me pick out a bike. Basically got told to leave.

Edit: The owner/manager has responded, I don’t necessarily feel like response addresses the issue I had (rude & unwelcoming staff), before I type out the entire story I want to give the owner a chance to reach out and have a discussion about what happened. Feel free to email me at [email protected] and I will give you a full breakdown of what happened. I want to like your shop and feel welcomed there because I’ve lived nearby for almost 10 years.

Amazing people! Chase is a particularly great mechanic who is incredibly patient, understanding and competent. He teaches a must go to fix a flat class. Super reasonable prices and great people who provide quality service. The place I will always go if there’s anything wrong with my bike!

For a place I have put in lots of volunteer hours at and have participated in a complete mechanics course on scholarship I have been shocked at the behavior of some staff members at CC. Getting “sired” by staff that has know me for years as transgender mtf is more than insulting it is harassment! As a senior citizen it is elder abuse. To be questioned on if I’m into Lycra by a staff member is bizarre. Or is it a come on? To be treated like this after I gave CC a great review before on News 7 in Denver is even more disgusting. I will never go to CC again…..who needs angry egotistical men throwing temper tantrums and tools around? I don’t! CC has cleaned house and the new staff is a pleasant change. I reinstated my membership. I’m not looking for perfection just a bicyclist community. And am happy with the effort by Dax and the new staff…it shows they want a community cycles for everyone!

Strange experience that was saved by the kindness and help of one of the employees. First person I spoke with was dismissive of me after I explained I can't ride a bike in an aggressive drop bar position due to back issues and need a more relaxed position on longer rides. He told me he couldn't help me find a bike and that I just need to get a proper bike fitting to fix my issues. I was pretty shocked by this. After trying to parse through the selection by myself for a bit a second employee came up and spent a good 20 minutes talking through suggestions and showing me bikes. I wish I got his name because he was helpful and very knowledgeable and gave me a list of things to look for. Very cool selection of bikes and accessories

Oof, I hate writing bad reviews, and I hate doing it for a business that does a lot of good for the community. But dang, the dude that rang me up today is such a miserable person that I just have to say something. Not only was he pretty much non-verbal and seemingly annoyed that anyone was in the shop, he also charged me double what the items listed outside stated. Got two bibs and some gloves, so it should have been $25. Nope; $50. I need them, so paid.

White dude, late 50’s, shaggy hair. Why are you even there, man? Go home and take a nap.

I get that it’s a small business and all, and I’m usually happy to pay a FEW extra bucks, but the only reason I’m shopping there is because I’m poor too.

3 stars because I still think the shop does a good thing, but I’d give only 1 star if I had to deal with that dude everyday. Receipt says Dax, but not sure if that’s the correct guy.

Oh! And this is AFTER I helped one of their customers load two bikes into her car. They don’t even hold the door for her as she was leaving.

My husband and I purchased our mountainbikes here. We were looking for secondhand bikes and were surprised by the quality of the bikes that Community Cycles offered at affordable prices. They also gave tips about how to prevent your bike being stolen. Would recommend others that are in need of a bicycle to have a look at Community Cycles!

Most parts are fairly priced. Definitely worth it for finding random parts, as they’ll likely have what you need.

The bikes, however, are extremely overpriced. Saw an early 90s specialized crossroads with a sticker price of $755 today. Yes, $755 for a 30 year old bike that originally cost $300. I would not recommend buying a bike here.
