No other way to say it, other than this place changed my life. I was at DWR for almost 15 months which is a tad longer than the intended timeline of their program 🙂 I kept coming back because I knew I wouldn’t find a better place to heal, and they never gave up on me. Their staff is supportive, kind and extremely capable. (Special shout outs to Amanda, Zoe, Laura, Venus and Queen Bader) They all genuinely care about each of their clients and provide a safe space to foster growth and healing for all types of women and their families. I had the pleasure of working with so many members of the staff, in all areas of the organization, and could go on for days about what they have to offer and the difference they’ve made in my life, as well as my family’s. They are consistent, professional, responsive, and provide services that encompass all aspects of life in recovery. No program is perfect, and they are receptive to feedback and I’ve witnessed their efforts to continue growing and improving, which to me is the mark of an exceptional program. Of all the treatment facilities I’ve experienced, Women’s Recovery provided the most comprehensive, expert, community driven, women focused programming environment. I’m endlessly grateful for their unrelenting care and support and would absolutely recommend their services to any woman for support in their recovery journey.

DWR was exactly what I needed when I relapsed after 4 years of sobriety. I had moved to the area recently and didn't know many people yet. I felt very alone and isolated. DWR helped me re-connect with people and get back on track with my sober life. This was my 2nd IOP experience. DWR's approach is much different than my first experience in that they are VERY trauma informed which was super important for me, and they encourage you to make connections with your peers outside of group. The women in my cohort are AMAZING. I feel very supported and safe with them. I really loved the counselors who ran the groups, and I LOVED my individual therapist. She gave me unconditional positive regard, she was very present, and she gave me validation and affirmation that I needed very much on some difficult life experiences that I hadn't gotten from some prior therapists. The staff at DWR is hands down the best. They listen to suggestions and make changes based on input from their clients. I was impressed by that. I opted to do the continuing outpatient group after I finished IOP. This felt like a safety net while I explored different support groups outside of DWR. My experience was great, and I am deeply grateful to the awesome women at DWR. <3 <3 <3

Everything about Denver Women’s Recovery was home the minute I walked through the doors.
DWR was everything I needed at every level of my rock bottom. Every staff member played a pivotal role in my time at DWR. I am thankful for the way each part of the IOP program was run and how the curriculum was delivered. I grew into who I am as a person through IOP and OP processing groups led by great facilitators in a safe environment. I felt free to be me at all times and never once felt judged for being who I am. I also had the pleasure of living with and developing a community with a strong and courageous group of warriors of women. All of my experiences at DWR and the home I found there helped me to transform into the woman I am today.

I lived at the sober living and did IOP and OP there a little over 1.5 years ago. It was a great place to get sober. Of course there is always some issues when you have several girls living there together but there was really no issue with the staff. I followed two women that helped there when they started their own therapy businesses who i still work with to this day because of how amazing they were when I was a client there. My therapist, Sharon, was the BEST therapist I have ever had. She helped work through trauma and grief while i was there which has lead to me being over 2 years sober now. I made life long friends with the girls in the house. I had the option of having my own room and bathroom which made things so much easier for me after sharing a room with a ton of girls in rehab. The size of the house made it easy to get alone time and the location is easily accessible for people who do not drive. I loved having access to a gym in the house. I watched movies and shows every night in the theater.
The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is because i had a negative experience with Rachel, a therapist there. Other than that my time there was great and is what kept me sober.

Denver Women’s Recovery is simply amazing. Outstanding programs run by women who are ferocious, passionate, and dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment. As an interventionist I have seen many programs, and they are often very good. Denver Women’s, however, is the best I have seen. Let me put it this way. If my own daughter needed sober living/IOP, I would do everything that I could to get her to Denver Woman’s Recovery.

DWR literally saved my life. When I first entered the program I was a beyond broken 21 yr old who thought their life would definitely end in incarceration. After leaving a correctional facility, doing a full treatment program I had no where to go. DWR full forced swept in and welcomed me with open arms. The community within DWR is something I forever will hold near and dear to my heart. They helped me become an independent sober women and words could never be enough to express my gratitude. If you feel there is no hope left and your life is near the end, DWR is the life present you need. From dissecting your mental health and trauma to find the roots of your addictions is just a thin layer of what they offer. If you are a hopeless dope fiend DWR will change that mindset into a dope-less hope fiend! Get the help you deserve and start here.
