They are just doing an OK job at managing the city. The trail system is great, however their response to some issues is quite counterproductive.

There's a pedestrian / cut-through trail near Mountain vista high highschool that, instead of paving or fixing it for better pedestrian transport, they just closed it off. They think this will promote natives, prevent erosion, and protect wildlife. I think the effects of worse pedestrian travel are worse than those points. We should be focusing on bettering pedestrian travel, not limiting it and forcing people to use cars.

Also, at the intersection of broadway and HRP, they're building a retirement community and it looks like they're allowing them to add yet another intersection (which worsens pedestrian traffic and is dangerous). This entrance needs to be combined with the church parking lot entrance instead, that lot/entrance only used once or twice per week anyways.

Talk about no help at all provided from this organization. Hey we are human we miss a payment once a year and then get racked with $200 in fees, talk about rip off and you can't waive a returned check or a posting fee. Come on people these are made up fees, highlands ranch is a front and not everyone is wealthy.
