I am very grateful for the wonderful care that my mother received while she was at Brookdale for rehab after being in the hospital. The facility is very nice (all residents have a private room), and the services are excellent, including physical therapy, speech therapy, and activities available to residents. The staff was attentive and kind. Thanks to Zabrina and to all who were a part of my mother's care.

If you care about your loved one, find somewhere else. Experiences with assisted living side as well as their rehab/skilled nursing facility were not only terrible, but found them to be neglectful and dangerous! No responses to call buttons or emergency calls in either building. Night staff won't respond or help with anything or anyone. Theft is common.

Overall, my father's stay this time was much better than his stay in December 2023. Dr. Niranjan was very attentive while my father was there. My father was admitted on a Saturday and his first planning meeting was Thursday. I think having a planning meeting closer to the day of admission would be more helpful. It would also be nice if they put out holiday decorations that let everyone feel included. My father was there last December and there were only Christmas decorations throughout the place. When I asked last year about recognizing Chanukah, I was told they were getting decorations (never happened). This year there was only Christmas decorations. I don't think putting a small menorah in the lobby and on each floor is asking a lot compared to all the Christmas decorations. It is nice when patients feel recognized and valued.

I'm presently in Brookdale with my 84yr old mom whom is going through physical therapy. We've been here going on 2 weeks. I choose to stay with my mom 24/7 though I live 6 miles from the facility. The service that these Nurses, CNA's, Physical therapists and housekeeping do daily; and Ive watched them.. is beyond what anyone should expect.. families need to band together to help their loved ones. That in itself goes a long way,
Not to mention would be a big help to these Healthcare workers, who try their best to care for YOUR family members. Your loved ones need these Healthcare workers, but they also need to see that their family members make an effort to visit them and lend a hand.

This place should be sued for insurance fraud. They take your loved ones in for "rehabilitation" and leave them laying in their beds all day with no therapy (unless you are there to monitor it). They can't even get thier meals correct. Update: Do not go here. Do not let your loved ones go here. They rush you through signing paperwork, lie to you about costs and fees, do everything they can to extend your stay so that they can collect more money from you. They are extremely understaffed and cannot properly take care of the patients in their care. If you don't check up on them, they will leave your loved ones laying in bed. They do not help them get up to go to the bathroom or help them shower. All they are worried about is taking you for every dollar they can get out of you. I cannot believe that this is allowed to occur.

Think twice. What you see and what your parents get are very different. I was placed in their care, and I use that term very loosely after a spinal fusion surgery. They knew I was coming; they had nothing ready. No raised toilet seat, no bed bar, no walker. I was placed into an upright chair and left to rot. I was not supposed to be sitting upright like that so soon after surgery, and was sitting there in tears and in pain. After 3.5 hours my daughter brought me a walker just so I could change positions, unpack and get into bed, but I couldn’t get into bed without pivoting with a side rail. I arrived at 1pm, everyone was I assume still working, but I saw no therapist, just Mimi (who was lovely). I urgently needed the restroom but had been locked out by the patient next door that I had to share a toilet with (no shower or bath). My daughter ran to get help a staff member in burgundy scrubs said “not my problem, go find your own nurse”. Before I forget, I’d had 3 different kinds of muscle relaxers, one every couple of hours to keep my spine out of spam, after 5 and a half hours of extreme pain at Brookdale all they offered me was a Tylenol. I told the kids to pack my bags and take me home. There’s no Care at Brookdale, you get verbally abused by staff and neglected - and I wouldn’t feed their food to my dog.

Brookdale nursing home was a place filled with very kind caregivers. They treated my husband with respect, humor, encouragement, & kindness. I would gladly send my husband back if he needed assistance. It is a good place to be cared for if one needed care.

All the staff are so friendly and helpful. The gal who helped him get dressed this morning asked if he had eaten. When he said no, she ordered his food and he said it was there “in 5 minutes.” He was very impressed! It’s these little touches that we were looking for and your staff is providing. Thank you!!!
