Defy has definitely made a difference in my life by providing and educational business experience that will last my brother’s entire life time. Although hasn’t been released yet, he continues to discuss and reveal his excitement to use his skills learned from the Defy program. He completed rigorous ongoing classes from start to finish, he never gave up.

It was a joy to attend the graduation ceremony that included Elliot Raibon and other graduates from the Colorado state prison. Great Job to Defy , Ellliot Raibon, amd all graduates !

In all the years I spent in prison for a wrongful conviction I never experienced anything quite like a Defy event. The impact on the EITs/participants can be felt for weeks and the overall impression that it leaves upon our since of self as it relates to the world outside of prison can not be overstated. For the first since incarceration-and perhaps for some for the first time their life-you are treated like something other than an inmate, encouraged to aspire to higher things and validated as a valued member of the community.

My name is Matthias Brown. The five star rating isn’t enough! I’m 31 years old and I am the first EIT (Entrepreneur-in-Training) to get early parole and continue my journey with Defy! I still have a few months before I can graduate. I have spent ten year of my life in correctional facilities for things such as drugs and assault. Three years ago somethings in my life began to change and in Dec 2019 I was given the first real opportunity in my life. I started Defy and began really applying the things I was learning in every aspect of my life. From how to communicate like a human to learning about business. I never knew that I could take something from an illegal enterprise and turn into something that apply a in everyday life. I got paroled four years early in May 2020 and came home to my wife and pug! I quickly began looking for work and didn’t have any problems. I followed what Defy taught me no matter how embarrassing or hard it was. Being honest about who I was and the Man I have become. With the help of a very special teacher with a huge heart I began to break out of my comfort zone. I followed exactly what Defy teaches and now I’m off to the races! During the day I am working on becoming a very successful Handyman. I have so many client I don’t know what to do! I do a lot of work for realtors. I manage an Air B&B called the French House. This is gonna be a surprise to everyone that knows me except Jenn! I recently got my dream job as a Chef. It’s a French place called Le Rouge. Fine dining! I have been out 6 months and have two full time meaningful jobs, I own a car and have an amazing life with my wife! I give my success up to Defy. Love bombs falling everywhere! I love you guys Thank you for giving me the tools and the confidence in who I am to achieve this small portion of what I am going to do with my life!
