Paul has been our couples counselor over many years. He taught us Emotionally Focused Therapy and it has become part of us now. Paul has always treated us with love, respect, and genuine interest in helping us to work hard on our relationship and to become closer and stay connected. If I could give a 50 star rating I would. I love Paul’s personality, mannerisms, ,professionalism’s, I have worked with Paul both personally and on my marriage. His technique and eft program have saved my life! Paul Opened my mind and heart to a world of success through healing, love, and positive work I can use for the rest of my life. I recommend his counseling to anyone I meet.

My experience with Colorado Counseling Center was mixed, ultimately leaving me dissatisfied and rating it 2 out of 5. While I acknowledge that my problems are mine to own, the counselor fell short in providing the effective support and guidance they claimed to offer. Key issues included dismissive behavior, including cutting me off during discussions then stating I'm too triggered to continue with the topic then after 3 one on one and 7 couples sessions stating individual therapy is required as prerequisite to continue couples therapy (a fact not disclosed initially), made me feel unheard and invalidated. There was also an overemphasis on EMDR therapy, which I repeatedly declined but was pressured to consider, creating discomfort and a potential conflict of interest. Furthermore, the promised full disclosure process—a crucial step in healing—was abandoned without my input, even after being emphasized as critical early on. Unaddressed dishonesty—despite initially stating they wouldn’t tolerate lying in couples therapy, they ignored my report of dishonesty from my partner. Finally, the handling of the polygraph process was another major concern; the structure of the questions was vague, the results were delayed, and access to the full report was denied without unnecessary additional steps. Overall, these missteps undermined my trust in the process and the counselor's ability to support my journey effectively.

Paul and his team of highly skilled therapists are simply the best in the business. As a friend and colleague I can personally attest to Paul’s integrity and his ability to help people transform their lives. I have trained with Paul and consider him the best therapist I know. He is kind and compassionate, smart as a tack and understands human suffering and how to help his clients grow and heal. The therapists that he chooses carefully to work at Colorado Counseling Center are only the finest. They are well trained, supportive and caring individuals. 5 stars isn’t enough for Mary Claire!
I was diagnosed with anxiety about 20 years ago and have seen multiple therapists over the years. Data clearly demonstrate the positive impact of therapy, but I hadn’t found any noticeable benefit in my own experiences until I started seeing Mary Claire about 9 months ago. She facilitates our sessions in a way that doesn’t feel prying or fake. She’s so subtle that I’m genuinely surprised every time I arrive at some major insight about myself and then realize she’s probably been leading me there all along.
I’m now firmly in the “therapy has had an enormous positive impact on my life and everyone should do it” camp, which truly speaks to Mary Claire’s skills.

After seeing 3 different therapists without success over the span of 3 years, I was certainly feeling hopeless, and that therapy wouldn't work for me. Every session seemed to be for me to go and vent about whatever issues popped up that week, without getting to the root cause of areas for emotional growth.

I am SO HAPPY that I found Colorado Counseling Center. I am seeing Erin individually, and Kelly for couples counseling. Both have done incredible work with me. They are deeply empathetic individuals that truly want the best for their clients. I genuinely look forward to therapy each week, which previously was not the case.

Erin and I have really worked to identify areas of my past that might have caused current behaviors, ways of thinking, or emotional difficulties. I have been struggling with depression for years, and I am feeling better now than I ever have. She has taught me to process emotions in a healthy way so I can understand why I feel the way that I feel, and I have also learned to be more introspective.

Thanks to Kelly, my wife and I are getting along better than we have in years. From the start, she could see that the love was still there, but we were just missing each other in terms of emotional communication and meeting each others emotional needs. She has been a guiding light through a very difficult time in our relationship.

I could not recommend Erin and Kelly enough!

Paul and his team are incredible (take it from their photographer!). I have photographed them and really gotten to know them. I always say that Paul hires the best counselors ever.
