After my 1st service here I asked the pastor if she had time to talk for a minute. No, she was too busy.
She didn't offer to set up a time to talk or ask for my number.
She seems like the kind of person who talks, but doesn't listen.
Only a couple of people said hi, the rest know you're new and ignore you. The man greeting at the entrance was friendly.
The pastor preached on justice, integrity a lot, but she and other church members haven't practiced this. I wonder if they care about the negative impact they've had on my life?
I really needed someone to talk to.
The chuch is a huge building. From the architecture and furnishings build in the 60s.
It's old, out of date and smells musty, like an old basement.
Not many people there. The pianist was good.
The pastor preaches like she's teaching elementary school.
There is no genuine empathy here.

I can't thank the kind and influential pastor there, Susan Otey for her patience and benevolence for the needy in her town of Golden, Colorado. Supporting the Christian Action Guild, she, along with many volunteers from her church, supply meals to the needy every other day starting Tuesday's, with free lunch starting at 11:30am and providing many resources internally.
Although I'm not allowed to park in her free, safe parking program, this program does exist with her assistance. Because I'm a camper vehicle, I'm simply not allowed but more precisely, her limit is trucks and vans not exceeding 8 feet of living space beyond the cab, and no taller than 7' 10". No sprinter campers, etc.
{And a friendly reminder from the Golden Police Dept, that I have paraphrased, absolutely no camping is allowed within city limits and all non-camping laws are hereby active. This includes but is not limited to:
(1) slack-lining in a manner that damages trees smaller than 18" in circumference, invades others privacy, or causes damage to the area.
(2) combustion grills, campfires, bonfires, and fireworks or fire crackers, are specifically prohibited within varied jurisdictions and punishable by fines and jail time}

I met Reverend Susan thru Safe Parking. She always makes you feel welcome without any judgement or bias's. Thanks to ALL the Safe Parking volunteers as well.

Nice people volunteering to help the homeless with food from local Golden restaurants. They also let people shower there and usually have sleeping bags and sometimes backpacks and the occasional tent which i got one of them and a very nice brand nee sleeping bag and a nice Nike bag it's like a small duffel bag.

Great place great people. At least church wise. The social workers do their best but can often leave us homeless worse off then we started.
