I was very impressed with the level of care and the family support received while my father was under their care. Communication with nurses was seamless and all concerns were addressed in a timely manner. I could tell that both nurses I interacted with were very passionate about their job and organization. The social worker and chaplains were very attentive and supportive. In a difficult time, they alleviated many of the issues for my dad, and my family. Thank you.

Our father lived to be a pretty healthy 100 years old, yet when he fell ill and was no longer mobile, he was able to stay at his mountain home for the last two months of his life, only because of Hospice of the Valley. Nurses, CNAs, and doctors regularly assisted him and kept him comfortable to the end. He watched as the aspen leaves turn from green to gold, to falling, and then the snows came. We daughters were his caregivers, and Hospice thoughtfully educated us and supported us through that experience. Hospice care offers such an invaluable service, providing comfort and guidance to both the patient and their loved ones during what could be a challenging time. It was a poignant period, full of grace, watching our father quietly close that last chapter of his life. We are so grateful for the support and care we all received from Hospice of the Valley.

Horrible experience with this company. They never send the same nurse, they never call to tell you if / when / who is coming. If you call the office they are rude. The people they do send just take vitals and leave. They don't spend any time with you or care about you. They are uninformed. If you call at night or their on call services you get someone in Ohio that doesn't even know your medical record. When my dad was on with their private home maker services he was told that his services would be canceled if we went with another company for Hospice so we have no choice since my dad loves his caregiver. Absolutely horrible company!

I can not believe the poor customer service we have received. 6 weeks ago I was told my daughter had a 30% chance of making it through a surgery. The good news is she did! She spent 5 weeks in the hospital. Then she was released to go home with the care of Home Health and Hospice of the Valley care for IV infusions. They could not get the supplies needed quick enough so we started going to an infusion center that is a half hour away from our home. It’s now been 10 day of being told today’s the day and they still have not received the needed supplies. In fact, today we canceled with the infusion center since Home Health and Hospice of the Valley said they would be here. The IV medications and fluids she is being infused with daily are vital to her care needs. We have worked with other home health agencies in WI and not once did they let us down or not show up. I am appalled at what my daughter is being put through by this agency. There is absolutely no logical excuse for this incident.

At the hospital right now because Mom fell and may have broken her wrist. We've had 3 calls from hospice nurse since we enrolled Mom in hospice several months ago. We were assured hospice were there for family as well as Mom but there is no sense they they even think about us most of the time. Last month Mom got pneumonia and the nurse said hospice doc would prescribe antibiotics if I wanted. Seemed normal to me under the circumstances so I said sure. Later met the hospice doc and she was less than empathetic with that decision saying: "Some people just can't let go." I wasn't informed of pros and cons for and against antibiotics or why it would be better for her to die of pneumonia instead of dementia. I need info. I've never watched someone I love dying before. I don't know how to express how hard this is to see Mom suffering so much and how little information I have for basing my life or death decisions on. Why don't they talk to me? And why can't they do more to mitigate her suffering?

I am writing this review after my husband passed away more than 2 years ago; we were connected with the Veterans' Administration who contracted with the above business. We had a very good experience with this agency for over a year - the CNA's we had were all very nice and were a big help for me and the nurses came and evaluated my husband and the home on a regular basis. The physical therapy was always good and we had a lot of good ideas for bedside and bath care. I do think we have to realize that health professionals today are taught that the end of life is inevitable and that is part of their duty to try to ease the families into that understanding. With that said I feel some, but not all, are too eager to give too much pain medicine and with that the sick person may have their life shortened and that is something I do not like or adhere to. Death is a very final event and there is no way to change things after the person dies. Being an advocate for your person, relative or friend, is very important. So with that, I give 5 stars to the agency - it is a very hard job, believe me, to go into someone's home and help people who know next to nothing about patient care and make everyone happy.

I've been on hospice with this company 10 months. They have a high turnover rate, so I rarely have the same nurse more than a few weeks, I was suppose to leave for Idaho yesterday but Dr Feeney never called in my meds so we were unable to leave. The only consistent is Rick the Chaplin. Wonderful man of god.

Know what you’re getting into before allowing these people near your loved ones. I should’ve known better when it took them weeks to even make contact with me (I had no idea who they were so I couldn’t contact them, I was only told by the hospital that home health would be contacting me and since I’m new to the valley I didn’t know the company name or anything so I couldn’t reach out to anyone first) however by the time they did contact me I had pretty much already figured out how to do everything on my own to help my mom since I had no choice but to do it all myself. So after my mom being home from the hospital for a month, a nurse finally comes. After the first visit they blow up my phone nonstop and come visit a few times. After a few visits and being told “ok I’ll see you again in a couple days” I hear absolutely nothing from the nurse. It’s like she just dropped off the face of the earth. No calls, no texts, no visits, nothing but being left hanging. I also returned a call from someone named Amy (no idea who she is but I had a msg to call her) so I leave a msg on her voicemail and hear nothing back. It’s been weeks now since hearing from their “nurse” and I’m over it. Please think twice before allowing these people near your loved ones. It’s not worth the stress and now I’m worried because this invisible nurse has personal information about my mom and who knows what will be done with that. Pretty scary. Conveniently their website has nowhere to leave complaints. Very unprofessional company especially during such hard times for families. I must say though the only consistent one was the speech therapist.
