We decided to take our children here from south Texas to experience a "White Christmas" and boy did we get what we had hoped for and better! ||We knew that this location was more likely than the Estes Park location to have snow on Christmas so we decided to come to Snow Mountain Ranch. ||After looking at the photos online we were prepared that this wasn't going to be a luxury resort. We prepared our children to all stay in one room and that most of our time would be spent outside the room enjoying the many activites they offer!||When we arrived we found the property to be breathtaking! Wooden lodges and cabins dot the rolling hills and with just the right amount of snow it literally looked like a snow village!!||There is coffee in every room and in the common area of the lodge, so you can have coffee right when you wake up! Then a short walk to the Commons for breakfast, lunch and dinner! ||The food offered was diverse and adequate for our family. Meals included fried chicken with sides, chili with cornbread, and other hearty entrees. They also had a full salad bar and lots of fresh fruit at breakfast!||There were so many wonderful activities on-site to keep our family occupied. With 2 boys who are up and ready to go first thing in the morning this was important! We tried cross-country skiiing, tubed down a tubing hill, ice sakted, and enjoyed basketball and pool in the indoor rec center. ||Winter Park offers a FREE bunny slope very near to the YMCA so we were able to take our kids there and let them rent skis and snowboards to try downhill on the bunny slope. So much fun! ||The nearby towns are cute and quaint and have plenty of restaurants to choose from as well as a grocery store within 20 minutes of the YMCA. I would recommend stopping on the way in and picking up some snacks to keep in your room for in between meals. ||Overall, we are glad we chose YMCA of the Rockies and we will be back!

I was attending a wedding and upon turning onto the clearly marked entrance road, the directional signage was great. As I went from registration to multiple locations to deliver wedding items, I found every location easily. The staff was warm and welcoming. The facilities were clean, tidy, and perfect for the occasion! I appreciated that everyone and everything was together in this special area which contributed to the cohesiveness of the event and experience. The lobby area in Silver Sage (2nd floor) was lovely! I had everything I needed and the bed was fresh and comfy - I slept well and had a great time at your facilities!

Nice family cabin. Gorgeous view of the mountains from the living room/dining room and the front porch. We went for the Nordic skiing, which is wonderful! Some of the trails are even dog friendly! Trails are well groomed. Highly recommend.

Look it's comfortable accommodations in the beautiful Rocky mountains. We come here looking for great fun in the outdoors and we meet great folks along the way. The accommodations are adequate for the task.

We stayed at YMCA of the Rockies just before a month backpacking trip through 10 Colorado wilderness areas that is part of our non-profit advocacy work for the Wilderness Need Association. We had to do some food drops at a hotel in Grand Lake, in the Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forest and on boundary of Rocky Mountain National Park. We got done in the evening and wanted to grab a bite in Granby but every restaurant was packed. When we got to YMCA we learned they served food in the Commons but we only had half an hour. It was great food! Loved the beef stroganoff and salad. Of course this place has many amenities like a swimming pool and accommodations for youth camp. Very rustic place, don't go if you can't handle stairs. A decent room with nice view of the sprawling grounds. My only complaint: they had a nice lounge in middle of our building with a coffee maker. But it was out of coffee in the morning! A little spendy for such a rustic place.

Kinda fun to stay at the YMCA. They had some good activities and good meals. The rooms were rough, though. The bunk beds were rickety and seemed as if they'd break. And the bathroom wasn't much better. Everything else is great, just watch out for the rooms.

We visit Winter Park once or twice every year. This was our first time staying just outside of town in Granby. We chose this location because they advertised spacious rooms and lots of included activities.||The view from my room was great, but that was about all we liked with our lodge room. The furniture was outdated and stained. The beds and pillows were some of the most uncomfortable we’ve ever slept on. We had a hard time getting a decent sleep for our two nights.||We were looking forward to snow tubing and swimming. It was a shock to see that both of these facilities were closed. We were never really giving an explanation as to why they were closed. Why would the tubing hill be closed with over a foot of snow outside!||It was difficult to get a hold of employees, and we were often transferred to someone else to inquire about activities. We ended up spending the majority of our time in downtown Winter Park and Fraser because the hotel itself was lacking. Overall, I wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Wouldn’t come back. Came for tubing and swimming. Everything was closed, had to pay for other activities. Rooms are outdated with stains on furniture. Beds and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable.
Fortunately we live in Denver. I would have been more upset if I traveled from out of state for “included “ activities that were unavailable. How is the tubing hill closed with over a foot of snow on the ground.
