The wife and I had a little day-date here. Purchasing tickets was effortless. When you enter the staff are awesome and it's definitely a great place to bring kids. As fun as it was for me, I can only imagine how it was for the first time seeing some of these as a kid. The creatures and aquatic life here are great and very unique. The butterfly portion is very cool. Walking in to see all of the different species is amazing. Definitely donate if your budget allows.

Two adults that love butterflies here and we had a blast. Sitting in the atrium with the butterflies is so special. The spiders were not as creepy as I would have expected and there was a good variety to see . Gift shop had some really cute items and they have local honey 🍯 They even put top hats on their sea urchins, how adorable!

Review for Butterfly Pavilion

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Butterfly Pavilion! The kids had so much fun participating in the butterfly scavenger hunt—it kept them engaged and excited as they explored the beautiful gardens. They loved searching for different butterfly species and learning interesting facts along the way.

Interacting with the butterflies was truly magical. Watching them flutter around and occasionally land on our shoulders was a highlight for the whole family. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to answer our questions and share insights about these incredible creatures.

Overall, it was a delightful outing filled with education and adventure. We can’t wait to return for another visit! Highly recommend it for families looking for a fun and enriching experience.

Kids and I loved the place. So much to see and so many varieties of critters one can observe. Used the pass via Douglas county library so that my pass was free and I had to pay just $5 per head for the kiddos. Kids were overjoyed to hold the tarantula and see how bees make honey. Tropical enclosure has so many varieties of butterflies and even had varieties of chrysalis. We we saw a butterfly emerge from a chrysalis. Highlight of my trip was seeing the Blue morphos, there were so many of them! 🤩🦋

Great place to spend a few hours! Clean, easily accessible bathrooms and ehibits. Friendly staff.
My kids maxed out on activities after about 1.5 hours (ages 2.5 and 5.5) and most of our time was spent in the large activity space toward the end of the tour, across from the gift shop. It was pretty crowded when we went. This place is very toddler friendly, and while there are a few things for older children to marvel at, and explore with all of the VR headsets, I probably won't return with my older child.

Amazing! My partner and I got tickets to go for the first time and we were surprised how much the Butterfly Pavilion has to offer. The butterfly section is absolutely beautiful and the other sections have all different kinds of bugs and fish with a couple you can even interact with. It is great for kids and families, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the tickets are a bargain, this place has it all! We will definitely be coming back in the near future

Butterfly Pavilion was a must stop in our Colorado trip. It was a relaxing way to start the day. We were there when they opened so there were no crowds. There were plenty of parking. The staff were very friendly. Kids will surely love the experience.

I thought that I would only see butterflies, but they had more than that. They had other exhibits to enjoy as well. I saw some kids unafraid enjoying the tarantula, but it wasn't my cup of tea.

It was just a relaxing experience. Just sit down, observe, and enjoy the beauty of nature around you. Butterflies, with its vibrant colors, fly all around you. Flowering plants and other tropical plants decorated the pavilion.
