Racist and Homophobes. I'm a 8 yr Black Lesbian Disabled Army Veteran who during my travels from NYC to California I had an accident with my RV in Colorado and needed a place to stop and stay to get my RV jack repaired. They said I could stay a week in their huge empty parking lot over the phone. When they finally saw me and who i was the second day, I came back to my RV to find a letter stating I have to leave the next day by 12 pm because I "allegedly didn't say I was staying with the RV(my home) and that I have some random person hanging in and around my RV. No that random person was ME! Yes I'm black and I may look like a tomboy but I am still a 8 yr disabled army Veteran!!!! They even had some random older white fellow watching me from sunup till sundown sitting in front of the VFW everyday since we been there and I catch him constantly staring. I felt unsafe as well as judged so I left before 12 pm. So now I dont know what to do and need help in Colorado. I would think my veteran battle buddies would have my back but instead once they saw me they said I have to get off the property. I'm still screwed at the moment thanks alot POST 4171. I will be reporting higher also. Robert Bates was the one who wrote the letter, I have a feeling he has been the one watching me daily. The vfw was closed today but he came to make sure i got off the property. Sitting in his truck 830 am watching me pack my RV up wow. I've never experienced such evil.

I love all the little functions that the VFW Post 4171 puts on! I've gone to their Christmas, Halloween and Thanksgiving events and all are so awesome and great! I love how the VFW does things for the community. Sheradin and Gail are two great people you can find there. I was also able to host my baby shower there as a private event.

Nice bar with a pool table and dart boards. They changed their smoking policy. No smoking inside, there is a covered smoking area outside. This is a private establishment, guests need to be signed in by a VFW or VFW Auxiliary member.

This building has halls available for all occasions with the option of a full kitchen. Call for pricing and options.

Been here for they're trunk and treat and Christmas party! All the kids got to see Santa and received a gift. So grateful for kind hearted people to go out of they're way for others and give joy to kids!

Stopped in on a whim as I'm not a member of this particular post. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. I didn't get a chance to try the menu but the draft beer was reasonably priced. ProTip: dollars for ounces, order the mini pitcher over the mug.

Tried contacting them by email and phone for a veterans burial, no response by email and was told on the phone from the bar manager that someone would call me NO CALL LACK OF RESPECT!!!

Really nice place and nice people. Bingo was fun. Haven't been here in years. Nice to visit again.
Cheap drinks and I think they usually have food.
