Nice pool for younger kids, under 8ish. Check hours because it closes pretty early most days. Have lockers you can bring a lock to use, and private family shower rooms. Nice basketball courts, indoor playground and beautiful park and field outside.

While I have enjoyed the facility sporadically for over 10 years, our family has repeatedly been highly disappointed by the unfriendly nature of the community center. They are very, very unwelcoming towards children between the ages of 8 and 16. There is no childcare option for this age range, and almost no activities exist here that kids can participate in without constant adult supervision. Two 10 year old kids playing basketball with parents in the next room exercising? Nope. Swimming laps as a 13 year old while Dad works out? Nope. One disappointing example of many was when I was swimming with my 11-year-old (we were sharing a single lap lane with another adult), we were going back-and-forth appropriately, when we were asked by a lifeguard to leave the lap swimming area so that a swimmer without a child could use our lane (upon that swimmers request). There are signs everywhere stating that children must be supervised, however, when you are closely supervising your child while swimming, you are asked to leave. My child was not playing in the lane, but swimming laps. Are the lap lanes only open to swimmers who swim at a specific speed? How are kids and preteens to learn to swim laps if they are not allowed in the lap swimming area with a parent? Very disappointed in my taxpayer funded ‘family’ community center.

Kids LOVED the pool! The entire center is clean, warm and well maintained. Doesn't hurt to have the gorgeous backdrop of mountains literally right outside. 😉

The GRC is absolutely great. For several years, I have been enjoying working out with the free weights, rowing machine and I always do laps in the pool. I occasionally use the exercise equip. and GRC seems to have every type available - these are newer models too, and many of them, so never have to wait. The pool is wonderful, perfect temp, clean and well maintained. Sometimes I need to share a lane but other swimmers are very nice about this and gladly accomadate.

There is no more rock climbing wall. June'24
Phone the Google reviews and their website that says there is one, it was removed.
The pool however is very good for kids, slide and splash pad are all in good shape, lifeguards are Nazis which is a good thing. Good junior Olympic pool for laps. Excellent for the price.

They don't have automated check in, so you have to give your name every time you enter. Signs say no cell phones use in men's restroom, but there usually is one or three on their phones. Usually the hot water in the showers are immediate, but if not used for a while, you must wait five minutes. Life guards sometimes walk the deck looking at their phones.
Place is always clean and staff friendly. Pool is open when other recreation centers are closed. Usually you can get your own lane to swim laps. Beautiful location next to Clear Creek River and Lion's park.

*WARM* water! What a great place to have a family event there’s lap pools, rock climbing walls. I really need wait Jim the price wasn’t even bad at all from 750 had a nice hot tub and it wasn’t crowded for a Friday afternoon during summer break from school. Great for Babies!

A very quaint town with interesting shops and amazing restaurants. The scenery is beautiful.
