If I could give this base a negative star review I would. I met and gained some wonderful humans through my time here, however this base is rotten to its core, IE leadership. SA is regularly covered up, misconduct is allowed as long as you’re good with leadership. Don’t come here, don’t send your kids here, tell your loved ones to avoid it at all cost. The bad apples in the bunch, especially being the leadership, will rot the whole thing.

Unfortunately had a very bad experience here with the leadership being absolutely belligerent and egotistical in the handling of a certain situation which could of been handled with Love and Grace, but instead was treated as if the student meant nothing. Every experience is different, but in our case definitely very disappointed in leadership for not showing any kind of patience or love. I haven’t stepped foot in a church for 5 years due to unnecessary judgement and this place is no different and definitely justifies my feelings on churches and “Christians”.

I pray that these people are accounted for the harm they cause.

This school and ministry is one of the best decisions I’ve made after getting married. The staff and leaders are intentional and they cultivate a leadership environment with passion. Also, being and older person and a married couple has made it interesting in terms of marital accommodations. They literally treat us like we’re already leadership and still hold us accountable as students. I’m enjoying every stretching and uncomfortable moment, and loving the growth from myself and others. The Spirit of God is here and joining staff here is definitely in our future!!

Being at YWAM has been such a transformative time for me. Not only have I been able to grow in a genuine and beautiful relationship with Jesus, but I have also made deep friendships that I know will last forever. The leadership not only leads us with strength and honesty, they also facilitate an atmosphere of peace and safety. I have grown in my love for worship, reading the Bible, and simply talking to Jesus. If you want to get to know Jesus more, and spend time growing with fellow lovers of Him (while also having fun!!!), I 100% recommend DTS 🙂

My time at YWAM Colorado Springs was amazing. The people love the Lord so much and really reflect Christ's character and how he created us to love one another. The hospitality is good and the rooms I stayed in were cozy and comfortable to be in. The size of the base is good and helped having Kairos coffee to feel like I had somewhere to go. The cafeteria was good and they have amazing cooks, just would have been nice to have more fruit/veggies/fresh options. Overall great time at this base.

YWAM Colorado Springs has been probably the best experience of my life. God has transformed and changed my life more then I could have ever imagined. I’ve made life long friends and grown my relationship with God, that has changed
my life! And the staff here is amazing!
