Absolutely a joke of an organization. They will not help you if you're about to be homeless. Or in need of care of any kind. My case manager didn't care about my case as she didn't even bother following up with me she was more worried about leaving and finding a new job. They'll find any excuse to deny you don't waste your time. Will not be returning and I highly encourage nobody else to visit this facility either.

I found out about Mount Carmel Nonprofit Organization through my SFL-TAP class. They claimed to guide soldiers through the entire process, but my experience was very disappointing. I was assigned Danny Miller, and all I got was the same generic resources and weekly emails with a bunch of attachments that weren’t helpful.
I was also interested in learning about starting a small business, and they connected me to one of their staff members. She wasn’t helpful at all, she just told me to create an account online and learn everything online. When I asked her to send the information by email so I could follow up, she never got back to me, everrrr. It felt like they didn’t care about helping enlisted soldiers; their focus seemed more on officers.
In my opinion, Mount Carmel doesn’t fulfill its mission of supporting veterans and transitioning soldiers. They don’t provide anything beyond what’s already available through the Army SFLTAP, Hireheroes and USO, and they lack the personal touch or real concern for individuals. Organizations like the USO are much better resources. I wouldn’t recommend relying on Mount Carmel or donating to them. They claim they are for the veterans but in reality they are there to fill up their pockets and write it off while filing taxes.

First experience with Mt Carnage was 6 years ago when the homeless hit man at the VA sent me there on the big runaround.
With $3.2 billion awarded to the VA and millions more in grants to places like this, why is there still " around 300 homeless Veterans in the community" ? I tried to get help and into the THI program and motel, but was denied, was told that I wasn't worthy.
Thank you for your service? Lip service maybe.
P.S. My dog Betsy is indoors at a friend's house for now. Veterans deserve better than this sham of an institution.

I've asked this non-profit for help as a 100% disabled veteran. I did an intake with my local representative and in intake lady in COS. I have been trying, for a month now, to get a call back on my situation. If this is how Mt. Carmel Veteran Services treats veterans, don't waste money donating as the money doesn't seem to be getting help to veterans in need, but damn they got lots of trustees and board members!

The local rep is great, but getting anything out of Colorado Springs has proven an exercise in futility.

Great place that does a lot to help vets. Only downside is the hours. Not being open late or on weekends is brutal for anyone who works. If their hours line up with your schedule I highly recommend it, but that is sadly impossible for many who would benefit from the services

Mr. Gruber, Luke has been working with me since late March 2023 to help me obtain a 100% service connected disability from the Veterans Affairs office. He’s an excellent lawyer and the lawyer to get the mission accomplished. Thank you Mr Gruber for helping me out during this time of need and thank you for serving our service members.
