Semester at Sea was an opportunity I will forever be grateful to experience. There are many qualities I loved but the one that always sticks out the most is the community you build. Unlike other study abroad programs, you really get to connect with all the other voyagers who are sharing this enriching experience. I have never experienced anything like Semester at Sea, and I highly doubt that I will ever experience something quite as magical again. The concept behind Semester at Sea allows students to travel the world, explore new parts of the world and their identity while creating long lasting memories. The program offers a variety of unique experiences on the ship, such as SeaOlympics or the opportunity for students to create activities.
Even academically, Semester at Sea is one of a kind. The proximity students have to each other and their professors allows for a safe and trusting environment, in which learning is enhanced. I definitely felt very comfortable and gained new knowledge on many topics.

I had a one-of-a-kind, fun, and amazing experience on Semester at Sea! It truly is your adventure and whatever you want to make out of it! Getting that level of independence but also assurance of safety in vastly foreign lands is something that truly defines this program. Plus, the ship is luxurious and the crew onboard are the kindest and most helpful souls you will meet! Apply for scholarships and get involved in comms team maybe if you want to have that involvement and financial help. It could help break the ice and help you meet people!
