From nearly dying and losing my girlfriend to joining this church 8 days later, this is the first thing I will give thanks to the Lord for once I meet him in heaven. This church body has turned my life around and is steadfast in their faith complete with a remarkable community of people that genuinely exemplify the qualities of Jesus Christ. Truly I say to you, from one person who was once lost and suffering in this world to another who might be looking for direction and a renewed joy in all the Lord has given and taken, come to the crossing and experience for yourself what I have in my first 7 months here.

There is something so encouraging about walking into The Crossing on a Sunday morning and feeling warmly welcomed and embraced by everyone there. I haven't attended a church that welcomes people as well as The Crossing does, I love how the body of this church takes ownership in welcoming new faces and are genuinely interested in getting to know one another. The way this church loves and serves one another is testimony to their passionate and devoted hearts to Jesus.

This passion is illustrated through Life Groups.Throughout the week and throughout the city there are numerous different Life Groups to attend. A Life Group is an intentional way of living life together and being on mission for Jesus in a smaller setting. This is a way for the church body to grow together through studying The Word of God, and learning how to best serve each other and the community. A mission Life Groups strives for are to display the love of God to others and demonstrate the power and beauty of Christian community. I would recommend checking out a Life Group when visiting this Church!

One last note is that the teaching of The Crossing is very biblical. Generally, The Crossing will walk verse by verse through a book of the Bible and this allows for the full context of scripture to be taught. This type of teaching has led me to know more about Jesus, His character, and His redemptive story. Through The Crossing's teaching and emphasis on community I have grown immensely in my relationship with The Lord and desire more and more to glorify Him in every aspect of my life.

This church has been incredible for my wife and I. We've been with The Crossing for over 3 years and have experienced Jesus with these people. Learning how to apply the gospel to our daily lives and sharing our lives as a community of believers has us forever grateful. The Life Groups are a major part of this church that teach us how to be on mission for Jesus. Discipleship and leadership training are in the fabric of this church.

I've been a part of this community for about 4.5 years, and it is just excellent. The community aspect is incredible, the teaching is really solid, and the love for Christ and desire to live out his mission is nearly tangible.

I love how they've tried to capture the (I believe) very biblical idea of the church being far more than a building or a group of people that get together on a Sunday morning, but they have sought to be a gospel-centered community on mission together. That means a lot of life being lived together as a community/family. This also means things can get messy sometimes (as things do in families), but if you stick around during and after the clean up, it is so worth it!

I never thought I'd grow to the point I am in my faith, and I can say with certainty that The Crossing has been the instrument of God's choice to push me way beyond where I thought I'd ever be and moved me closer to beholding the wonders and majesty of his Son. If you're looking for a church, I cannot recommend this one highly enough.

Are you looking for a bible based, Christ centered community of REAL people? Then The Crossing is for you. I love that the messages are straight from the word of God and the people really do want to know you and how you are doing. No fake fronts here just real people loving Jesus and doing life together.
