The community here is friendly and welcoming, the social action committees Get Stuff Done, the religious education program was great for my kids (make sure you send your kids to OWL!), and Buckhorn made memories for our whole family. If you want to join a community of smart, kind, open minded people, come meet them here.

This church is incredibly accepting and inclusive. No judgment, no specific religions, no pressure. It's a thoughtful and public service forward church. They actually do the work badly needed in our community and society and help people belong and with their human needs. Highly recommend if you want a welcoming community focused congregation that welcomes everyone.

I first visited Foothills in 1994 and instantly knew I had found my church home. I really love the commitment to social justice and our church's activism with the Food Bank, Family Housing Network, and LGBTQ advocacy, to name a few causes. The 'Our Whole Lives' lifespan sexuality education is a program I'm most proud of. OWL provides accurate information and it "dismantles stereotypes and assumptions, builds self-acceptance and self-esteem, fosters healthy relationships, improves decision making, and has the potential to save lives."

In addition to all those things, my spirit is nurtured and I feel true belonging in an intergenerational community. I SO appreciate the ministers. Plus, I can't even count how many close friendships I have made through Foothills and how much fun I've had in my 28 years of membership! My praise may sound excessive, but it's real and heartfelt. I believe that Unitarian Universalism offers what the world needs today.

What a wonderful, warm, welcoming and affirming group of people! Beliefs range from liberal Christian to Buddhist to Agnostic (and even a few pagans!) As they say, "you need not think alike to love alike," and they act on their beliefs through many social justice ministries. Their share-the-plate program every Sunday gives 50% of each offering to local human service organizations. They truly practice what they preach!
